In March 2005 I purchased a Toyota Avalon Limited and traded it in in Nov.2007 for an 2008 Toyota Avalon Limited. The 2005 model was very good, and in the city the milage was 21.5 Miles per gallon and on trips it was 29.5 miles per gallon of gasoline( 89 Octane). The ride on the surface streets and Freeways was very smooth. Then at 8000 miles I traded it in for the 2008. The milage on that 2008 model I am getting is only 18 Miles in the City and 27 miles per gallon of gasoline ( 89 Octane ) on the Freeway. The other thing I noticed is that the ride on the surface street is very rough and choppy ( bumpy ), but the steering of the 2008 is a lot more precise than the 2005 model. Otherwise both cars are very much equal to each other.
