Chuck Orion, IL	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #1 Aug 20, 2007 I have a 2000 A6 4.2L Audi with 50,000 miles. One Audi dealer suggests replacing the timing belt now due to the cars age. Another says to wait until the Audi specified mileage. Is age a factor in timing belt failure? Any help would be appreciated
Lana Marlton, NJ	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #2 Oct 28, 2009 I think it's impossible to have 2000 year car with 50,000!!! I havt 2004 Audi with 95,000 on it already. I think you have to check your miles and change belt.
Bob Birmingham, AL	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #3 Dec 19, 2011 Not impossible. I have a 1998 Audi A6 with jus 25,000 miles and my dealer wants to change the belt due to age. Is it possible to get an official response ??
