Does anybody have any complaints on their Acura TL cars? Somewhere around the year 2004?.........

I have an '04 TL with manual transmission. My only complaint, Mike, is that the front wheel drive breaks loose under heavy acceleration, and also forces the car to seriously understeer in 'spirited driving.' The Bluetooth connection to my cellphone is less than crystal clear, but then again, I don't have a high-end cellphone. Finally, I find that the backseat forces passengers to sit a little more upright than is comfortable on long trips.
I've had no major problems through 68k miles (I bought it used with 27k on it). Changing the timing belt is strongly recommended at 60k, and I had that done at an NTB vs. the dealership. Regarding the info on your linked page, I haven't personally had those problems. I got about 24 mpg around town, and 28 hwy. Good enough, I thought. I'd imagine, Mike, that you won't be disappointed. |
