Without the RSX, Acura does loose a lot of its personality. I've always thought of Acura as more sport-luxury than pure boring luxury but without the RSX it's starting to become more of the latter. To me Acura's other cars are rather boring. There is the lost of the youthful racing excitement that the RSX brings, without the boy racer looks in its stock form. It is also at a great price to get people introduced to the Acura lineup of cars. I never would have been interested in Acura without something priced like the RSX. Without an RSX replacement, I don't know how long I will stay with Acura. Their other cars don't really interest me much.

i have actually thought that the integra/rsx should have been a honda. honda should focus more on their upscale clients with the acura name.. therefore i feel bad that the rsx will no longer be sold here but i think it's a smart move. a honda devote will only purchase an RSX and put Honda badges all over the place.. to make it a JDM type. i had an older integra and i put honda emblems because i didn't want to be associated with upscale older folks.

I have a TL myself. Personally, I think they should take the S2000 and make it an Acura, and reintroduce the RSX as a Honda Prelude. They would have guaranteed sales. Why throw them away?

I agree,. The rsx drew mostly rice boys as did the integra.. even older folks that bought these cars seem to "rice" them out..... the rsx/integra should have been a "honda" from the start.
The s2000, with its performance and price range belonged in the acura camp...

Read my post....
Have you seen an older Acura integra?? the engine, intake, other parts of the car say "Honda" what are you thinking an integra is an ACURA? Don't you know that Acura is a psuedo name for Honda. Acura was born in America, just to take more money from the same car Honda sells oversees as a Honda...America fell for it and paid Honda more for the same car... Know your companies...
Any honda enthusiat will tell you an acura is a honda. all the engineers, developers, ect. are honda employees.

everyone knows Acura is a Honda! The "A" is an unsidedown "H"
I had 2 integras, when i sold my second one, i got an RSX. i NEVER put the honda emblems on an ACURA! When it came time for a new car i satyed w/ Acura and got the RSX cause it's the "sporty-est"

you guys have no idea with what you are talking about...The RSX isn't for ricer boys..It is for true japanese enthusists. Yes i agre A and H are the same so what does it matter. And the S2000 isn't luxury enough to be an Acura. The RSX is the luxury version of the Civic Si, so why put two cars(RSx and Civic Si) in the same company.

According to one of the Acura dealers, that Acura is planning on making a 2 door TSX model to replace the RSX.

The RSX was Also sold as an Honda Integra TypeS in japan... So putting Honda badges on a RSX, it would be like having an Nissan Skyline GT-R in Canada... The Integra version was never sold in Canada... But i do understand the old guy kinda car... and wanting to hide it.

But i do think if Acura, with a sedan only line up, lacks something, that will bring in the the young professional who loved the Honda, to something a bit more luxurious, and sporty... they could go the way of the Olds... that was an old man car!!!

Basicly all high end luxury car makers have and sell a sporty coupe... Why did Acura just stoped the RSX, they should of just made an other coupe to replace it before... I have an RSX and by the time i need to change, i hope Acura come out with a new coupe, or i will just switch to Nissan's 2008 GT-R.

Actually you're wrong about the "RSX" being like the Civic si... the Acura CSX type-s would be acura's version of the Civic Si. the only thing diffrent on a csx and a civic is the headlights. tail lights everything else is the same.

They need to bring back both the NSX and the RSX.An RSX base is faster then the Civic Si. I worked as a honda employee over the last summer and the two cars don't even nearly compare. Civics are to clunky to drive around in compared to the RSX(which I own). They need the rsx to survive because they are such a demanded car. I'm not even trying to sell mine and people come up to me wherever I go and ask if I would consider selling it. Discontinuing the RSX and NSX models was about the stupidest idea honda of america has made. Along with changing the look of the civics which look extremely bad. People laugh at them because they look so ridicules. they by no means can compare to an RSX in that department either.

Who cares, the car is not sold anymore. it was an overpriced civic. Their civic's and had optional dohc w/ vtec since 1989. We final got a decent integra in 1994, the gsr. the new civic 06+ is crap, that overweight car never had a chance to compete against the 1992's dohc vtec at a race track...Honda should have sold DOHC civics in the states since 1992. Why because most enthauthist's make these older cars into hybrids. Honda relized this and starting offering high performance versions final in 99 Honda / Acura has been ripping off American's for years. i think they want to get revenge for our two atomic bombs.. just a theory and i can't prove it, but why do their regular sedans/ cars get 40-70 mpg since 1996 with out the overpriced electronic hybrid components????
enjoy our inefficient cars....

wow, lots of opinions. firstly, i will avoid honda poitics and financial descisions of the company for the obvious factor of simple speculations. on to my hopes for honda/acura:
i would like to see a stripped down, gas sipper with an ivtec powerplant. think along the lines of 92-95 civic simplicity with a k20 engine and zanardi nsx comforts and performance. stretch it to a 2+2 platform and i bet given todays pennypincher market and honda perfomance following, it would be a welcomed seller.
(of course give it lengthly options to expand the demographic.)
