So weve all heard about the monikers placed on Toyota i.e. Recall Motors, Government Motors, Recall King, Take Off Your Oversized Tires As#&*le, Gayest Car Company in the world etc. but its time we take a look at some of these positives about Toyota.

The latest 1.2 billion criminal settlement for covering up the SUA, the guilty verdict for SUA killing, the 1.9 million Pruis recall, the numerous recalls ongoing or even the latest of being placed on probation can all be taken as positives.

Recalls are a good thing because it fixes a problem for the customer. The guilty verdict is good for the company because it means they pay for the dead. Finally, the one I really want to talk about is the probation. In my opinion the probation is a good thing because it will ensure Toyota keeps on the straight and arrow. Moving forward I expect good things. How do you feel?

Please, only deep thought positives, thanks to everyone.

I'm taking the Toyota in for recall check this week to make sure it is safe to drive.

Toyota's recalls are reason to take pause but remember this, Toyota is Government Motors. With the backing of the jap government they should be able to figure this out. Recalls are a good thing because they fix a problem.

The obamamobile prius is only in existence in the mix of socialism and bailout dollars...

Speaking of which so is Toyota Gov Motors.

In which is all a sham.

Spelled- Taxpayer Ripoff...

Ie.- Higher Taxes on the way.

The obamamobile prius is the result of socialism in politics.

Too Funny.

Yes Toyota is Gov Motors, conceived by the Jap government but that's not important right now. This is about Toyota's criminal probation.

For the truth Toyota's cars since 1970 were just so-so in appearance, however the price was right plus that dependability and low cost-of-ownership factor. Since the recalls people see different.

But for over a decade, the exterior appearance of Toyota cars has been extremely bland. The designs say.......nothing. And, Toyota quality is NOT what it used to be. That quality, of course, offset for the Toyota's shortcomings (e.g. so-so appearance).

Looking at another corner, Honda has done a decent job of staying on track with attractive, affordable and fun-to-drive automobiles.

And from the other corner, we now have breathtaking car designs coming out of Hyundai and Kia (reminds one of the first time they laid eyes on a Datsun 240Z).

Toyota doesn't even have a chance in the passenger car segment. Toyota lost because it failed to evolve.

I drove a Toyota as a teen and some of my fondest memories were giving head in the back seat. You make a good argument. I really like the 280Z those were hot! I think Toyota should make something with style.

Lube makes everything better. Toyota is now giving a tube of lube with every recall.
