I would simply ask when did it become a citizens right to protest at 9 or 10pm at night? Protests that I remember in the 1960's happened in daylight. The folks in Ferguson need to come out during the day and hold their protests, make their statements and then go home and watch the news of the day. If it didn't work, come on out again and do it the next day. The police are reacting to what had transpired and got out of control on Sunday evening when the so called protesters took off and looted and destroyed stores in their city. Even though it was later found out to be residents of St. Louis city that were arrested for the looting how were the police able to tell, they are simply there to keep the peace. If they had not been around I hate to think what would have been happening in Ferguson the past few nights. Go ahead and protest but have some respect for the other citizens residing in the area that just want to get a good nights sleep without hearing smoke bombs, tear gas canisters and rubber bullets being shot late at night. Just sayin'.

" cops job is to keep the peace " you are correct but have you dealt with them lately -----they lie about cases in reports and in courts and meanwhile your reputation ,career and family life can go right in the dumper --many of them don't care,Thats very sad to me because I always was courteous and respectful to them and taught my children to do the same .Now I tell them to avoid police and call them only as a last resort
