So basically everyone with a working brain is calling these BS artists out. It is about darn time. Also love the article in today's paper where city and county officials also put them on notice that their BS isn't cutting it anymore. Hey Santana Li. Either start building these mythical things or shut up. Everyone is on to your lies. And thanks to Car and Driver the word is out worldwide. Hahahaha. No one will buy your crap line now.

I'm reading that way back in 2010 they were 25 million in debt. These people have been milking this scam since 2003, from LA, to Atlanta, then finally to Indiana.

The money they have raised so far, more than likely went to support a jet setting "auto executive" lifestyle for the only two real employees.

The sad thing is that there are thousands of these green scams floating around. Many received big hunk of the stimulus cash. A lot of them were simple political payoffs, never intended to produce jobs or a product. These guys just discovered that all the teats were taken before they got to the stimulus sow.

This is what happens when the government tries to spend its' way out of economic crisis.

Keep an eye on these people after Carbon Motors goes away. They will simply start a new scam in some new unsuspecting place, probably centered around government cash. They will never have to get a real job, just come up with a new fictional business plan every few years. Live like kings... file bankruptcy ... repeat.

They played up the big TX7 announcement with a video on the website showing a spy photo of something under a tarp in the garage at Visteon. Look closely the pictures they shown at the press release are made by a computer. They won't answer questions about where it will be assembled, instead they want to play cat and Mouse with Connersville again. I dont think that they get it. Their cloak and dagger attitude , failure to be forthcoming and their condecending attitude towards the community, industry and even their competition has turned many against them.

They have been at it for a decade. Facts are they have never passed a crash or other Federal test, never been police certified, didn't test at the Michigan State Police course and have frankly nothing but Claims of ability. Facts are stubborn things aren't they Carbon?

Sad thing if you steal a pair of gloves because your broke and cold you'll go to jail. Meanwhile hoards of people like this have dominated the investment landscape stealing communities and investors blind.

When does something like this constitute criminal fraud. When do crooks like this go to jail? It's a daily event where some bank or investment scam gets exposed. No one ever goes to jail, they just move on to the next scheme.

The answer is Rarely. No Law has been violated. You or I can do the exact same thing, we can start a business and our business can be " Trying to start a business". Meals , travel and lodging are all business expenses. You dont need to accomplish anything - you just have to be working on trying to accomplish something.

I think we need to STOP kicking Mayor Urban around like he's a dog-on-the-street too ! I think mayor, as he should have, tried to show "some faith" in these people.( Carbon ) Maybe he got played like everyone else, hoping this would work out. Maybe it's not over yet. But, it's looking like it's all just smoke and mirrors. If this is true, it's a pretty ROTTEN damn thing to do to a town DESPERATE for jobs anyway !

So, they could not get money together to build the E7 that was priced at around $42000, but they are going to build this thing that is priced almost three times higher?

Also, with all the reservations they claim to have for the E7, if they took half the money down on all of those reservations they would have over half a billion, which would then help them secure the $300 million loan should they still need it.

Connersville got played, the state of Indiana got played, and all of you naysayers got played. Of course, most people are saying they knew CM was a scam from the beginning, but that is a lie. We all bought into it. And why wouldn't we? But now is the time to say so long. I will take your bet, Bob. They will not build a thing, anything! Anywhere!

That's where you're wrong, ICould. They build CONfidence in the inhabitants of each town they scam. They're CON men. If they could build cars like they build CONfidence they'd be bigger than GM.

Well, CONnersville finally caught on. Now Satana Li's CONclave of CONmen are CONtinually scanning the CONtinent looking for the next Hooterville to announce CONstruction of their newest CONfabulation - a Cop CONvertible, perhaps?
