Land Rover vs. Jeep: Who is better???

I have never seen a rover at a rock crawl or a big off road trail ride. I have seen many many jeeps! Maybe they just can't make it there?

Alot of those british cars are crap, Jaguars suck, Land Rovers REALLY suck, Range Rover REALLY SUCKS and probably Bentley even. For the price a Range Rover costs I would rather buy a Porsche 911, and belive it or not, A PORSCHE 911 IS PROBABLY BETTER OFFROAD, but I shall stick with my Jeep Cherokee for now.

Top Gear tester Clarkson compared Hummer Jeep Land Rover in America and found the Rover the best it was the only vechile to complete the course and he earned himself a nice cold beer out of it, Try and get hold of the DVD The good the bad the ugly. Pitty Ford had to sell it to the TATA group in India. I myself like the Landcruiser. enjoy your day.

Ummm, in all honesty, no.

I am not going to suggest that the UK makes better cars than the Germans or Italians, but we do make better cars than the Americans. The only decent Supercar that the Americans make is the Ford GT, and that is made by everyone else.

The poles on this forum show that people are biased by their home country.

Even BMW couldn't beat Landrover when it came to off roaders and they owned it for a bit.

Just dont forget landrovers 156 per 1000 vehicle problem rate, almost twice the average. So yes your jet black $85000 suv is good off road, but it will break down.

It seems to me that the camel trophy was closed to all class 4wd EXCEPT land rover. The idea was, with everyone getting the same rig and kit, which TEAM was the best. Bad comparison I think. Jeeps are still pretty great.

Would you care to post an example of HOW a Porsche 911 is better offroad than a Land Rover or Jeep?

I know what it is you are talking about but when did Clarkson test a Jeep? He tested the Hummer H2, Range Rover AND the CADILLAC ESCALADE. Not a Jeep.
