Give the greed of the public employee unions and their unwillingness to contribute more towards rising pension costs and wage increases with a median salary of $80,000 a year, where is there any money left over for new fleets? It is time to break up this union an enact a no-strike contract as soon as possible.

BART should reveal the millions in unfunded pension liabilities to these overpaid public employee union clowns at $80,000 each as a median salary, probably far more than the passengers that ride BART. Fire these employees, implement a no-strike contract like New York does get these wages down back to reality then use the savings to upgrade their existing fleet. We need to cut down Federal funding also for BART given these employees need to start contributing more towards health care as the private sector and self-employed folks do.
