Yep, going 0-120 mph as fast as possible, ramming through cars, dodging bullets, and rushing after the crook who stole your honda takes a REAL car!

<quoted text>These % don't mean Sh#t. Escape, Fusion, MKZ, MKX, Focus, Edge, Marriner and Milian were all up in sales in April. The Larger SUV's are what made the #'s go down and for all the hype of the gas prices Ford still sold a ton of large SUV's and still sold over 40,000 trucks. As far as the % numbers a 100 cars can make a big % jump. It is all a bunch of crap..
Sorry, but you must look at the whole business and not cherry pick. Large SUV's and trucks is what drives Ford's model mix, revenue, and employment levels. Just having a small handful of cars that do well will not carry them.

Found it on the internet, its a suburban that rolled 5 times and everyone walked away without a scratch. Try that in your compact sometime. Did your wife/mom/sister give you the nickname "bush" or is that your real name?

So has anyone heard the rumors flying that TMMI (Princeton, IN) is going to mandate an additional week for shut down this July? Supposedly the workers will have the option of either taking it unpaid or using PPT. Apparently this was overheard at the on-site daycare facility. Just curious if anyone else had heard the same...

Onsite daycare facility? Sounds like Toyota really takes care of their workers!

I would expect TMMI to shutdown for an extra week to help alleviate inventory concerns. The market is down, as is the need to produce vehicles. Enjoy the time off with your family.

You still pay for it just as you would any other daycare facility. You just get the benefit of it being on site.

Back to your concern, Toyota is actively looking to rationalize capacity now that it has finally adjusted its sales expectations for North America in line with the market dropping a million vehicles versus last year.

Interesting enough, that person identified above as "Camry Junk" has posted the same message in at least 25 other Toyota sites.
Not only that, the ISP used by that person is the same one used with a dozen or so other usernames badmouthing Toyota.
Must have a serious (and perhaps obsessive) hangup about Toyota for someone to do all that just to make a point!!
Makes one wonder about the integrity of anything this person says!!

So the guy hates Toyota, who cares? In all fairness, he is not the one responsible for all the failed transmissions.

Truth be told, the transmissions aren't "failing" as you suggest.
This guy is a troll who hangs out in several sites; always trashing Toyota, and it seems he's either a certified nut or working for the competition.
There was an issue last year where there were improperly installed snap rings in a few trannies assembled during a two week production run--less
than 200 Camrys were affected.
Toyota issued a recall on these and replaced them all.
The other issue was an alledged "hesitation" which apparently bothered some owners, and a big fuss was made about it. Toyota issued a TSB for a reflash which apparently fixed this.
At no time was this an unsafe situation, nor were there any "failures" as a result of the issue.
Just setting the record straight.
