In the Driveway - Oriental Toyota Rust Bucket
Rust, the biggest enemy of an oriental car. Many unsuspecting Americans are getting a big dose of reality as their oriental rides begin to rust at an alarming rate.

Well, at least they are extending the warranty in an effort to curb negativity. The real problem still remains; oriental Toyota has an issue with salt on the roads as their cars don’t last.

AND MADE IN THE GOOD OLE U. S. OF A. BY AMERICAN WORK FORCE.
Hmmm wounder what the root cause is??? |
|
|
and have american suppliers.
bad combo... |
|
Sorry but more Toyota's are imported here every year, it is the Japanese models that are rusting you stupid moron.. |
|
Tacomas are and have been assembled at NUMMI for many years. They're hardly japanese-assembled. |

appearantly "ford tough" doesn't realize that his f150 is assemleld in mexico and the Tacoma is manufactured in the U.S.
Sounds like he's the moreon. |
|
Actually Moron you are wrong as usual. The F 150 in made in Kentucky, all Ford trucks are made in the USA. Mexico and Canada also make the F 150 but the f 150 is still the old design in Mexico. The newer design f 150 is called the LOBO in Mexico. These are made in Mexico for Mexico. In Canada the f150 is also the #1 truck and they build trucks up there. I have provided a link to show the cars made in the US, if you notice the Tacoma has a asterisk next to it, that is because not all of the Tacomas are made here. You think you know everything you filthy California liberal scum bag, but you don't. And check you spelling smarty.. http://www.uaw.org/uawmade/auto/2007/index.cf... |

So it’s settled. Oriental Toyota jap cars rust badly. Regardless of where the vehicle is built, the oriental makes tend to rust at a faster pace.
On another note; I wonder how the all new tundra will fare in the rust department in a few years. With all those weakened bent tailgates there should be some cracked paint someplace. Have they fixed that yet? Last I heard, they were “looking into it,” citing the page in the manual that states “don’t drive with the tailgate down.” |
True enough. Some are assembled in Canada, as well. Again, that's hardly Japan. The contention was that the japanese-assembled vehicles are of better quality and that generally bears out when looking at the product. I don't know why that is, but Toyota and other manufacturers are aware of it and are known to assemble specific models in japan, to guard against assembly issues. |

I'd rather have a car that runs flawlessly for 10 years but has a little rust after 10 years (aka toyota), then a vehicle that runs like crap for 10 years, breaking down all the time, but at the end of 10 years has no rust (aka Ford).

Ignorant mullet head. At least the Tundra will last long enought to rust. You POS GM will catch fire, wile parked. An hope that that H3 doesn't get rear ended because it will crush like a coke can. Dumb , ignorant , swamp dwelling biach. hahah- buyaaaaaaaaaa |

Fact - domestic vehicles last longer than imports.

Trucking - grow up. |
Not sure about that, but at least more of them that die early get recycled into new cars. |
|
and they are one of the few TOyotas that arent having problems,so made in the US isnt the problem with AMerican labor,Toyotas arent as good as they once were and america has caught them and past them in quality in many cases |
|
Now that U.S. automakers have actually figured out how to get a vehicle to get through the warranty period, let's see if they can figure out how to make one and turn a profit. They have destroyed BILLIONS in shareholder value in the past few years alone. |
|
I disagree. My Camry Hybrid was assembled in Japan and is flawless in every way. My Tacoma was assembled at NUMMI and shows many signs of force-fit, fastener overtightening, etc. It's a great vehicle, but there is no comparison between the 2 when it comes to assembly quality. |

huh?
This is the same company that was reprimanded by their own Japanese government for building a ton of vehicles with numerous quality issues last year. Wow, just wow. |
