I agree. BTW, the stupid anti-Tesla troll that's been clogging up this board is no doubt a dealer employee who feels threatened at his part time wash-rack job down at the Chebby dealer. Pity.

We have been North at the cottage since last weekend. Internet was spotty until now, so we're back in business finally.
We did see that the notoriously foul mouthed troll was busy with his crap as usual, but we also note some really offensive posts have been erased.
At least this time his filth was directed at someone else!
Somebody is at least paying attention here, thankfully, and had the common sense to remove it.

To Liner: How that clown gets away with his garbage beats me. Regardless, his posts are generally pretty sick. Maybe he gets his jollies talking like that. Good riddance.

To JJFADS: any chance you and that homophobic idiot are in cahoots? You sure seem to get puckish when people don't bow down at the GM altar.

Big mistake.
I thought the idiot who posts filth was gone.
Not so, apparently.(See Post 5411)

BTW, "James" replaces "Prometheus".
Got tired of the imposter posting garbage under the old name.

Here is a former Prius Plug In owner who switched. There are 2 other former Prius Chat Room guys who switched. They all love the Volt more than their former cars.

Once again, within this link. In post # 10, a Volt owner shows his 49 mile daily commute.

Going up a 1300 foot grade, he gets 42 miles electric and 6.4 miles gas, using .26 gallons of gas.

On his return trip, going downhill, he gets 48.3 miles electric with 12 miles left on his battery. A 60 mile electric range.

Overall, 96 miles round trip,.26 gallons of gas used. 369 mpg.

Zero range anxiety.

It's amazing what warm weather does for an electric car's range.

Drove to Redwood City today to enjoy some music. Drove 45 miles round trip. 42 at 70 mph with the AC on all the way.

Got a 44 mile electric range in spite of that. 1 mile on gas.

Total cost,$1.14 for electric and about 9 cents for gas.$1.25.

At $4 a gallon (still high in CA), that comes to 144 mpg .... at 70 mph .... with the AC on.

What an awesome car!

144 mpg is a solid number plus you have no range anxiety.

Wifey says"
We already know that you're not an owner but a renter...

as you could never afford it otherwise.

That also explains why no one outside of Leno maybe, especially in cali....

owns an obamamobile.

It's only the dealers and rentals who ever bought them...

unless your a fed or ge worker that is...

and they are on the taxpayers dime just as much as you.

Too Funny.

Marco Andretti was impressed by his Volt test drive.

"This car's performance isn't measured by horsepower, but it is so smooth and has so much torque at the bottom that it really accelerates. I am looking forward to this in my racing future." Marco Andretti.

In spite of his preference to speed, he got a 47 mile electric range.

Mario has no racing future, he is retired and in the past few years he is nothing more than a paid mouth piece for any product willing to pay the price. By the way, when was the last time Mario was in a competitive race?
Mr. Andretti has appeared on TV pitching a wide variety of products.
His actual racing days are over, although I believe he acts as a consultant to the sport.
I think LMV goes to extraordinary lengths to promote Volt.
A good many of his promotional posts are "embellished".
Is this a GM shill masquerading as a Volt owner?

One thing for sure.
June is shaping up to be yet another disappointing sales month for Volt.
If this trend continues, will the brand become an also ran?

PS.
No doubt the resident impersonator will now post another round of vulgarity using my screen name.
Thanks to Topix for consistently removing his filth up to now, and I'm sure will continue to do so.

This latest attempt at attempting to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear ranks right up there with Rick Hendrick (of Hendrick Motorsports fame) going on TV and stating that he wanted to purchase the first Volt. Imagine that one of the largest GM dealers in the country saying something positive about a GM vehicle.
I had the chance to talk to Dale Earnhardt Jr. at the Denny Hamlin Charity race at Richmond and asked him about the Hendrick Volt. All I got back was a good natured chuckle.
I love a good silk purse but hate pigs.
