It would only be interesting if you believe in Santa Claus.
Because it's not correct, nor does it represent the present by any stretch of the imagination.

Why do you keep repeating false and misleading figures Root?
Surely you know better.

Root's average income for Volt owners is wrong. Old news, no longer valid.
He quotes a number from October 2011, only 4400 Volts were sold then.
As at April 2013,more than 50% of current Volt owners earn less than 100 grand per year.
Why would someone keep repeating those old numbers?
Just being a nuisance perhaps?

The average income of an electric Chevrolet Volt owner is $170,000 per year. Only Mercedes-Benz owners earn more.

Hopefully GM can get that number down substantially and soon. That will mean even more sales.

And by the way ... if you do watch the video, the city driving was a total of 180 miles, non-stop. All driven on day 2.

The Volt won the overall mpg even with this disadvantage.

Nobody drives 180 city miles non-stop.

Most Volt owners drive about 20 miles, city driving per day on week-ends at about 125 mpg equivalent,(very conservatively speaking).

I guess they didn't want to make the other cars look that bad.

Also, the average American drives just under 40 miles per day. Assuming 30 miles is freeway and 10 is city, the Volt would have only used about .5 gallons of gas for that 40 miles, if that.

As the driver for the Volt in the city leg said, they were able to get 44.3 miles in electric with the AC on.

Had the city test been done in real world circumstances, the overall mpg for the Volt (all legs combined) would have been well over 50 mpg.

And by the way. The name of this forum includes the Chevy Volt's mpg abilities..

According to Google, Root....

Your post, above, is quoted from a post March 25, 2012, by someone calling himself "The Kamikazi Kid".
He apparently repeated info from another piece dated October 2011.

So you're still no closer to the truth Root. Keep trying.

Those figures I showed you earlier are current, truthful, and correct.

Trust me.
