That's very true...

Fox News reports Volt fleet sales at 5%.

http://nation.foxnews.com/chevy-volt/2012/04/...

Even that is off. GM reports less than 4%.

From GM: Sept. 2012

"Myth: General Electric and other corporations are making large fleet purchases.

Although in 2011 several large U.S. companies publicly announced that they would add a large number of Volts to their fleets, they have not yet done so. GE specifically announced that it would add as many as 12,000 Volts to its fleet over the next five years. So far GE has not followed through on this and has purchased only several hundred Volts. Because of the politics of the Volt sales in much of the U.S. press, GE and others are believed to be holding back so as not to be seen as taking sides in the November election. Fleet sales of all types only accounted for 100 to 200 Volts each month. Of the 2,800 volts sold in August in the U.S. only 100 went to fleets."

I'm supposed to be insecure. I have said nothing but the fact that I like being judged so many times. It proves how much of an impact I have made on a hater.

In my mind, the hater can't stand the fact that every negative post about the Volt has been bunked with links to real information. Steam coming from the head of a hater is funny. Isn't it?

Insecure?

Just took a 1 minute laughing break.

OK Dolt, give me 13.

Don't know how long you have owned your Volt. So this may be old info.

Did you ever try holding down the power button 5 seconds without stepping on the brake?

This turns on the electric functions such as windows, radio, etc. The main battery remains off. It will time out. You just need to press the power button again in order to turn it off. I also believe just opening the door will turn it off.

Also, when the car is off, the radio can be turned on by just pushing the button. This will also time out. But it won't turn off when the door is opened. Handy for when you need some music while waxing the car.

OK ... happy motoring.

I believe that a psychiatrist would consider judging 39 times as insecure.

Pretty sure. Could be wrong. All I know is that it's funny.

Drove 43 miles today. 14 miles were freeway, in the morning before it warmed up. The gas engine came on just as I was pulling into the driveway.

The 14 miles on the freeway gave me a 38.5 miles range. Range is miles driven plus miles remaining. The 38.5 was pretty consistent throughout.

This means, after 14 miles, my range increased by 4.5 miles once I got on city streets. Meaning, had I driven the entire battery capacity on city streets, I may have reached 47 or 48 miles.

The 14 miles on the freeway cost me 41 cents.($1.14 for a full charge divided by 38.5 times 14)

At $4 per gallon, that equates to 136 mpg. On the freeway. Much more on city streets.

So much for the battery having poor range on the freeway.

By the way. An electric car having less range on the freeway than on city streets is not a negative. It is a fact.

Gas cars have less range on city streets than on freeways. That is a fact. Not a negative.

To use a fact as a negative is only being negative.

Fact: most of an average American car's life time miles are city miles. Therefore, the electric vehicles are more efficient.

But ... my getting 136 mpg on the freeway in electric isn't bad ... is it?

That's why I only use 1.2 gals. of gas on an 82 miles round trip to my son's house.

What an amazing car!!!

That pretty much sums up the Volt zelots (sic) on this forum.
BTW volt lover, I don't waste my time with those judging thing.

The hater responded:

Agree.
Insecurity needs constant self reassurance.
When somebody posts a dozen or so consecutive times each time he/she appears here, that's a red flag.

He makes reference to my posting all at once. The reason I post all at once is that I have awesome grandkids I would much rather spend time with than hang out with him. Therefore, I log on once, go back and read and respond all at once.

Sorry hater, my grandkids have it all over you.

That said .... I went back just 5 pages. Just 5 mind you .... and I counted the posts. Not including the one liners I put out so the judge could have some fun (I counted them as 1)... 35 posts for the hater. 15 for me.

The previous 3 pages were 24 for the hater. 9 for me.

If I have a problem, someone has a problem 3 times bigger than mine. Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk.

Now you know why I post all at once. My grandkids make me extremely happy. OK hater?

Oh ... maybe I shouldn't say this .... THEY L O V E M Y V O L T also!!!!!

Now you see how these things get started Mr.Root.
You toss in an intentional, unnecessary, unwarranted, and frankly irrelevant taunt, fully aware that it'll get a rebut from someone.
And as you expected, you get a response.
Then you cry "foul" that you've been "attacked".
Then you flaunt the sympathy card.
" Dear me, I'm being harassed" says Mr. Root---Again.
What a farce!!!!

Enough obfuscation Mr. Root.
Your motives never change.
And, after lecturing us for the past week or so about what/what not we're allowed to post, here you are advocating free speech.
Inconsistent is the operative word?
