I WORK FOR A GM SUPPLIER AND I ALWAYS OWN A LEAST 1 GM CAR. I HAVE A 2009 PONTIAC G8 WITH A BAD BELT PROBLEM. THE DEALER CANNOT GET THE BELT. THEY TOLD ME IT COULD BE A WEEK OR SIX MONTHS SO MUCH FOR GM IS CHANGING. THE BEST CHANGE FOR GM IS TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS THEY JUST DON'T HAVE IT.
FOR THE PEOPLE THAT THINK THE IMPORTS ARE NOT ANY BETTER. BE ADVISED I ALSO OWN A ACURA THERE IS NOTHING THAT ANY AMERICAN CAN BUILD THAT CAN MATCH MY ACURA IN ANYTHING.

Perfect tagline.

I had never heard of Acura until I was unfortunate enough to pick up up an issue of asian car-loving Road and Track.

Honda is recalling 273,000 MY 2004-2008 Acura TL vehicles. Prolonged high under-hood temperatures may cause the power steering hose to deteriorate prematurely causing the hose to crack and leak power steering fluid. Power steering fluid leaking onto a hot catalytic converter will generate smoke and possibly lead to an under-hood fire. Dealers will install a new heat resistant power steering hose free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule for this campaign.

-- Honda is recalling 129,600 MY 2004-2005 Acura TL vehicles. If water enters the windshield wiper motor breather port, which is designed to allow the motor to vent warm air during normal operation, it can result in corrosion inside the motor housing. This could cause a failure of the electrical circuit breaker inside the motor housing. If the circuit breaker fails, it will cause the windshield wiper motor to become inoperative, which can increase the likelihood of a crash in certain conditions. Dealers will inspect the windshield wiper motor for signs of corrosion. If no signs of corrosion are present, a snorkel tube will be added to the wiper motor breather port to prevent water from entering the wiper motor housing and foam tape will be installed on the cowl above the wiper motor to direct water away from the wiper motor. If signs of corrosion damage are observed on the wiper motor, the motor will be replaced, and the breather tube and foam tape will also be installed to prevent water intrusion on the new wiper motor. The manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule for this campaign. This recall was the subject of a Preliminary Evaluation, PE07-060, conducted by the Office of Defects Investigation

Once presented with the facts, Acura is shown to be not that great.

I have been reading the comments regarding the Dex-Cool coolant. I am in the process of having my car repaired. They have told us that the coolant in the radiator was like chewing gum. I have been diligent in my service checkups, even having it flushed and filled as recommended. My car only has 73,000 miles on it and it almost (and possibly did, we don't know yet) blow the heads. At this point, the bill is over 800.00 and will be probably much higher at the final tally. What can I do about it? Does anyone fight them and win?

Please let me know-

2007 GMC seirra classic4 door 4x4, had it in at 3000 miles for service and to check for clunking noise if something loose when shifting, just started to make noise 9nothing found), now have 6000 miles took it back in clunking noise real bad when upshifts or down shifts, so bad friends riding in trunk say sounds like transmission going bad.Dealer test drove today said noise is bad look on GMC service bullitin, bullitin stated some GMC seira might develope clunking when shifting no repair for this just pay 33,000 for new truck and live with it.noted problem does not happen to all. My truck is used as 2nd auto has not even towed anything, what a peice of junk I have had 4 GMC trucks since 99 and 1 suv also am director of PHA where we have 13 trucks and vans many GMC. If this is how GM treats it loyal customers I have no problem taking them off bidders list for trucks and vans and sharing this info with all the executive director nation wide for public housing.
Talk to your GM regions zone office and report the problem. Unfortunately, I don't have the number, but you can take it up the food chain to get statisfaction and have your problem fixed. a starting point may be the GM website. There is in the GM Goodwrench section a contact us feature. Hopefully you can find satisfaction through them. I'd hate to see you turn your back on GM because of one bad dealership.

GMAC needs to start stepping up for the problems that their anti theft device system is causing their owners. We have a 2006 torrent and a month and a half ago started experiencing problems with the lock light coming on and an engine that wouldn't turn over. I cant afford to hold my breath before i start my car wondering if its going to turn over. We have tried everything the manual have told us to do and have even replaced the battery. Contacting the dealer left us with a service manager who was pretty much saying but but but but...dah dah dah! In otherwords no help at all. The anti theft device on these vechiles needs to be recalled NOW!!!! Shame on you GMAC for not standing behind your products and customers - could this be why you're not making Pontiac products anymore? Do the right thing!

Just purchased a new Buick Verano 2012. The OnStar system will not give me turn by turn directions. It has been 6 days, and they can not fix the problem. I need the turn by turn directions for my car, because I am a Realtor. GM has not offered me anything..........I think they should take the car back and give me another car with the navigation system working at no cost to me I have not had the car more than 6 days. The car is at the dealer trying to resolve the problem.
Any suggestions on what I should do about the car??

I have a 1988 Chevrolet Beretta GT in Bright Red. I've bought that like new in 2011, and I had no problem with that until now. There is a hole in the muffler that makes a raucous noise that disturbs the streets like a sports car.

My 2007 GMC Sierra SLE, 4 door, flex fuel, with sun roof has been in the shop several times. Twice for collapsed lifters and twice for my doors filling with water. Water runs along roof channel and somehow find its way into the passenger side rear door. Recently water was dripping from the seat belt connector on the column. GM has informed me that they are absolutely confident in the product and there is no reason for me to be worried. I had to take a history of all maintenance and oil changes so that the lifters did not come ou of my pocket. There are other issues that are minor but wow I am losing my confidence in GM. I have always been a GM guy and want to stay that way but who knows now.
