Rick- Experiencing same problems. My truck goes into 4 wheel low. Toyota dealer says nobody else is experiencing this and I just can't believe it. As of May 24 they tell me that it will cost $2366 for a new vacuum pump. Still don't understand what this is, where it fits, and what it means except that this problem puts my truck into limp mode and I'm not happy about any of this. This problem has happened 2 x in the last 2 weeks. They reset the computer codes the first time and said everything was fine. Now they are saying the only fix is a $2366 pump! How do I know after I get this part installed that I will be trouble free. Please respond- all who have experienced similar problems- I think we have another recall here.
What were the symptoms prior to the failure? This morning all the lights on my dash board were flashing and when I entered the highway it felt like it was in 4wheel low, couldn't go over 15 mph. Truck has 91,000 miles and in my opinion this shouldn't be happening.

That thing has a riveted c-channel frame. Garbage. It flexes like a yard stick. This isn't a quality issue, the truck just isn't designed for work. The image of the Tundra as a real truck is just a marketing image. Really all Toyota did was slap a flimsy bed on the back of a chopped SUV. Perfect for wannabes who should be driving minivans anyway.
Your just mad cause you probably still drive Ranger or S-10!!!!

. Well doesn't that just sum things up. Wow congratulations my friend for you truely define the word retard. Too many of you brainwashed yankees that truely believe that America still produces quality. In the 80's when crack infested your country the death of automotive quality also moved in. The big 3 have been producing junk yards all over the world for way too long and paying useless junkies high wages to build their crap. It looks good seeing that people have clued into this more than obvious fact finally. Well not everyone has theres still yolkels like yourself that will attempt to make sense a patroitism issue. Clue into the world no a days buddy theres a lot going on out there especially in countries that arent on their way down toilet. Donkeys like yourself only have your own to blame for the simple fact that your country produced garbage for so long expecing people to buy it no matter what, that now no one wants to buy your products anymore because we all know its following a tradition of american failure.
