Wall Street Journal reports the following US Market Share results--YTD to end Oct, 09:

Ford Share 20.3%--overall sales off 20.3% from same period 2008.
GM Share 19.7%--overall sales off 33.4% from same period 2008.
Toyota Share 16.7%--overall sales off 25.5% from same period 2008.
Chrysler Share 9.0%--overall sales off 38.9% from same period 2008.

Top Five Vehicle Sales for YTD 2009:

Ford F Series Pickup--334,922.
Toyota Camry--294,493.
Chevrolet Silverado/GM Sierra--261,142.
Honda Accord--244,579.
Toyota Corolla--240,755.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. Ford is clearly in third place behind GM and Toyota.

Those figures are a direct quote from a Financial Post report dated November 3, 2009.
If you wih to take issue with those stats, best do so with the editor of the Financial Post.

One more "My Bad"--you're right Authority, Ford is No. 3!!
I went back to the referenced WSJ article and noticed I had transposed the numbers incorrectly,--so much for multi tasking.(I was doing three things at once when I posted originally!)

Here are the correct figures:

GM=19.7%
Toyota+16.7%
Ford=15.2%
Chrysler=9.0%

My sincere apologies for any misunderstanding.
