General Motors has announced that they are recalling certain model year 2014 Chevrolet Silverado equipped with 4.3L or 5.3L engines. They stated when the vehicle is idling in cold temperatures, the exhaust components can overheat.
The overheated exhaust components may melt nearby plastic parts and may result in a engine fire. General Motors will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the engine control module, free of charge. Owners may contact GMC at 1-800-462-8782.
