The Jeep concept and good looks left in 2005 to 2011. Returned briefly in 2012. As other's have said.
The 2013 now looks like a Range Rover, Ford, BMW and VW.

The problem is that the diesel engine is only available on the upper level models. So to get a diesel chrysler is going to extort at least another 10 grand out of the buyer, or, they want to say their isn't a market for diesels in the US.
Um because

I don't like it. I think U.S. auto makers are making foreign looking cars and foreign cars are looking more American.. 15 years ago you could tell a foreign car down the road. Now you have to look at the logo to tell the difference from 30 feet away.

Personally I like the old square look. shadow, duster, acclaim, Cherokees (not grand Cherokee)

Well, I am just a blue collar worker who cannot afford to spend that kind of money on transportation.

Refreshing of course. It's a new look but will grab buyers in person. Once people see the dash and interior in person along with the fuel economy and above average off-road rating it will sell. People that wanted an old boxy off road beater are retards and wouldn't be spending $30000 anyway. Don't get me wrong I love taking an old wrangler or Cherokee out in the back roads on some trails or hill climbs but I'm not going to run to showroom and drop $30000 on something for that. It's going after the crossover suv market with a very innovative look with drivability good fuel economy and the rugged jeep name.

Guess it's coming to a time for a brand change. Where do they get this designers. It looks like bits and pieces taken off from foreign models and slapped together.

I've owned 4 Cherokee in all two GC and 2 Cherokee (box back) looking for a 2011-13 Grand Cherokee, the end of the line for me though. GC's not good looking and 2014 Liberty/Cherokee worse. FIAT not very good at design for North American tastes.

Wrangler's about the only thing left that looks ands acts like a "real" Jeep. Unfortunately they are out of my price range. The GC of 2013 owned by a co-worker crapped out on her a dozen times in a year and with the help of a lawyer, got a full refund under the lemon law. She recently bought a Ford SUV which I have to admit looks a lot better and is probably more reliable.
I'll keep my '99 GC with the straight six and 120K. It's just getting broken in....haha
