Not unexpected, considering the source.
Small person, small mind, all mouth.
Typical response from someone with major issues.

Sorry, but your analogy is based your watching too may TV lawyer dramas.
The context the words "Oriental, Riceburner, etc" are used herein will clearly pass the 'presumption of racism' in any civil court.
In such matters, one does not have to prove 'beyond a reasonaable doubt', only a 'presumption'.
You personally may not think what you say as racist, but in the context you use it (like far too many others herein), your use of those terms can easily be found to be a 'presumption' of racism.
In other words, you're busted!
As said before, we simply disagree. Maybe I need to stop doing business with the Oriental Rug Shop (that is the name) because Observer says the term is racist.

The reference you use is a situation where the term "oriental" occurs in a completely different context.
No harm is intended by calling a rug shop "oriental"--its use properly describes a product which for centuries has been called an "oriental rug".(In fact, most of those rugs originate in India, Pakistan, and the Middle East, not your favourite target, Japan.
The context in which you use the term in your posted forums is racist in every respect, and clearly passes any test of 'presumption of racism'.
That said, you probably don't give a damn even if it is racism, and will continue using the expression as long as it serves your purpose, so this discussion is, for all intents and purposes, moot.
I'm done with it.

True treason is buying oil from any government hostile to the US way of life. If the US government would ban oil imports from any country hostile to the US, which would cause fuel rationing and $10 a gallon gas, I will bet a lot of you drivers of over size pickup trucks and SUVs, will be lining up at the nearest dealer that has fuel economy vehicles in stock, including import dealers.

You are wrong. If the US stopped buying oil from other countries, we would simply refine our own oil. You do know we have a huge supply of oil in this country, don’t you?

The last time I checked the US has not have a military draft in 30 years. The only draft you can get now is when you open the window to let out all that hot air you are blowing out.

Even guys who fought in Vietnam are going back to Vietnam to see how well the Vietnamese are doing and to ask for forgiveness for the wrongs Americans did during the Vietnam comflict. In fact Ford just completed a factory to build Ford cars in Vietnam.

Just because you say so does not make it true. Just because you say it over and over again, like a broken record, does not make it true.

The most money I have ever earned in a hour was $17. Why should I care if some over paid American union worker, making $35 to $70 dollars an hour, loses his or her job, because their American made product is over sized, over powered, gas guzzling, air polluting, does not meet my needs, and is too expensive for me to afford. Greedy people making the wrong product deserve to be unemployed.

Toyota “moved forward” with some of the biggest gas guzzling vehicles on the planet. Look it up..

My last American made motor was a 2.2 liter motor in my Horizon. The car salesman refused to sell me the 1.6 liter motor that was available. The salesman claimed that the 1.6 liter motor was not powerful enough to power the automatic, A/C, power steering and power brakes I needed. What nonsense.

Having owned a 1.5 liter Japanese motor for a year, in a Yaris that came with automatic, A/C, power steering, power brakes, power windows and power mirrors, I find the 1.5 liter motor over powered for the size of the Yaris. The 1.5 liter motor is hard to keep at legal road speed. I wish the Yaris had come with the smaller 1.0 liter motor.

Daily Horoscope for December 28

Capricorn

This is a marvellous day for having a discreet word in someone's ear. You'll be able to choose your words carefully, making you very tactful and considerate, and as a result you will have a helpful conversation. This is also a good opportunity to talk about topics that are very dear to your heart, or which are usually too private to mention.
