Australia do not want pure electric cars if yearly sales are anything to go by. A grand total of 48 have been sold this year. GM tries to sell the Volt for $60,000 plus on road costs, while Nissan ask $40,000 drive away for the leaf. Mitsubishi iMev cost $48,800 plus on roads.

Aussies don't want electric cars because their prices are little higher than the other luxury cars. Then Why don't people buy those cars which are cheaper than electric cars are also more powerful.
