Don’t put pressure on Tundra, the steel is weak. CR drops the Tundra to “not recommended.” Save it for a load of cotton candy just to be on the safe side.

We drove domestic 1/2 ton all our lives...thats just what we did. We didnt know they lacked power and the proper drive train...thats why we had all the problems.....the 1/2 tons were engineered all wrong. Now, we need a 1 ton or larger to pull anything over 6,000 lbs. The Tundra can pull 12,000+ lbs with out any trouble. It cost half as much as a 1 ton with the same power and drive train.

We all hope the dombastics build a truck with as much power and quality as a Tundra.....not possible because the quality issue is not a domestic thang....oh wait! Exaggerated specs are.....

Nom we know......our domestic 1/2 ton trucks are POSs.. they lack BBAALLLSSSSSS!! No power, small drive trains, we have been robbed(all our money went to CEO bonuses) and just weak everything...Tundra is a 1 ton in a 1/2 ton body......domestic 1/2 ton dont even come close.

Good luck with that. Tundra was their best shot and they couldn't break the US truck market. Look for them to kill the tundra name and create something else in coming years.

Yes I would agree. Tundra was a problem from the get go. Maybe they will try it again but I think they should stick to small trucks.

Toyota Envy Lives!!!!!!!!!!We always laugh when we talk about the domestics we used to own...what POSs....The Lemon Laws really make it hit home. We wasted thousands of hours fixing and repairing those POSs........Its funny, the dumastics think they are catching Toyota....not even on the same planet. I have this frig box..I put little red wagon wheels on it.....looks like a ford. The ford lovers dont know quality....look what they drive.......LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Detroit(ford, chevy, gm and dodge) are standing on a chair...in the garage(thats where all the domestics go after(if) they drive off the lot).with a rope tied to a rafter and the other to its neck.....gun in mouth.....trigger pulled....Wait, Toyota kicked the chair out from under them years ago.....RIP!!!!!!!!!

Anything would help. I think it's time they remake the truck one way or the other, big or small. The current version never did live up to the standards.

A top economist said, " Buying a domestic auto would only hurt the already bad economy because the money that would otherwise be spent on buying consumer goods will go into fixing and repairing a substanturd product"....OUCH!!!!!!!!! !Plus, the domestic auto workers are druggies and the profits end up making CEOs richer.....double OUCH!!!!!

I heard that! The least they could do is give the Tundra a proper resting place. The original Tundra name doesn't deserve this type of treatment.

It sad....or makes sense that "The Lemon laws" are a domestics code of conduct.....ouch! Will it or has it changed? NO!!! They exaggerate prices, specs and quality to sell lemons!!!!!

I think they will. Sales are sad and the recalls this truck has experienced over its lifecycle have definitely kept the buyers away. I believe the tundra is fifth in sales behind the US brands so it would be nice to see a proper grave prepared if not for the truck, at least for the name.
