We'll see. Assuming gay marriage is forced on the all of the states, take a look 20 years later (giving the other situation time to go through the courts).
What is the compelling reason for denying plural marriage?
I'm not worried about it because I'm rational enough to know it's never going to happen.

They said the same thing when inter-racial couples were allowed to marry nationwide- it'd only be a matter of time before people were marrying their sister or marrying dozens of people at once or marrying animals.

Fuss about it all you want; it's not going to stop us from getting marriage rights in all 50 states.

I will never understand this fascination with incest that seems to exist only in the anti-marriage population. It seems like the fall-back argument when all else fails.
Can YOU explain it?
It's a sign of their desperation now that they realize they won't be able to stop us from getting marriage equality nationwide eventually.

Wait for the bestiality arguments to come out next!

I do enjoy watching them squirm and bitch & complain. It almost makes the wait worthwhile.

Even you know that, which is why you're freaking out about this.
Wow. Do I sound like I'm freaking out? Um, no.

I am looking at the repercussions and how I will be able to take advantage of it down the road.

Unlike you, my hole is clean and without disease. You wallow in miserable existence and torment others with your evil agendas. No matter how much people try to bend over backwards for you,it is never enough. Death, pain and people who are destitute is all around in a high tax environment and we spend to much in resources for a small minority that forces us glorify sexuality. I have spent years on this site agreeing with your views on most everything and I get skewered. You will lament your self serving arrogance as poverty expands.

I already provided evidence that senior citizens CAN naturally conceive and give birth.
When the rules of marriage were established, there was no was to tell for sure who was and was not fertile. So they allowed it for any couple who could possibly conceive.
So the Revolutionary War vet who had his nuts blown off in the war could still possibly conceive?

I don't think even people in the 1700's were THAT stupid.

procreation may be what some judges think is ONE reason for marriage being a civil right, but it is in no way a requirement for entering into that social construct. not at all. in no way. zip. nada. nil...
We all know that once you give the people a privilege, it is nearly impossible to take it away.

If we had the ability to determine fertility 200 years ago, who knows. But what is, is.

Well, if you firmly believe that family members should be able to legally marry other members of their family, take your arguments public, and argue them in court.
I have never met a single straight or gay person who has any desire to marry their parent, sibling, or child.
Anti-marriage folks like yourself seem to be it's only proponents. Can you explain why? And if it so important to you, why not band together and fight for the "right" to marry your parent?
Geesh.
Don't worry. Once marriage is redefined, people will see the tax advantages of it and it will happen. Money is the ultimate motivator after all.

Heck, that is why gays are pursuing it.

Nowhere in this country,thats where.
I'm not interested in playing hypothetical chicken.
Duh!

That WAS the rule in many states before the SCOTUS overturned those bans.

Just as stupid as you lame claim that because everyone can marry someone of the opposite sex isn't discrimination.

Equally discriminating against people is still discrimination.

They're not similarily situated to an unrelated couple.
I don't need to come up with an argument agains incest because it's already illegal.
You're going to have to come up with a reason to make them legal, just like we had to come up with a reason to make marriage legal for same-sex couples.
We've done so, which is why we can legally marry in 9 states & 11 countries with more to come.
You obviously haven't done so, which is why you can't marry your sister in any state or country.
Sure they are. They are both legal adults. If they were not similarly situated, would they be allowed to enter other contracts together?(you keep avoiding that one).

I don't need to come up with an argument against gay marriage. It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL in the majority of states.

If gay marriage is made legal, incestuous marriage must be made legal under due process.

Nope, can't be; otherwise those who can't or don't or won't procreate wouldn't be able to marry or be eligible for those benefits.
Try again.....
You need to look up "requirement" and "basis". they don't mean the same thing.

Nope, marriage IS a right, just not in the context of procreation or the survival of the human species.
I never claimed marriage was a right because of that ruling- that was your claim.
Put up or shut up. Show the SCOTUS ruling that states that.

Yes, it is. If you oppose equal rights for gays & lesbians, then that makes you anti-gay.
Gee, I'm not racist, I just don't support blacks having equal rights.
Oh yeah, we've never heard that one before......
Do you oppose crime?

Knowing that certain races in the US commit statistically far more crime than other races, that makes you against those races, right?

Yes, it DOES sound like you're freaking out about it. You don't think anyone here really believes you're just trying to figure out how to "take advantage of it" down the road?

If you want to believe you'll someday be able to marry your own child or grandchild, that's your choice. People believe all sorts of stupid things will happen.

It's not going to stop same-sex couples from being able to marry in all 50 states, which is obviously your real agenda.

Yes, because they have an EXISTING legal kinship which would conflict.
CONFLICT?

How so. The marriage relationship has stronger legal ties and benefits. It would SUPERCEDE the affinity. The people would still be related.

There is not conflict. If you believe there is, please state an example where the conflict causes legal concerns.

Why do you keep trying to distance yourself from it. Are you not for marriage equality?

Apparently some people do not understand contracts. I tried to use a more common example but apparently used words that were still too big.:o(
