Toyota will not be appealing this ruling. They are now moving forward to settle the punitive damages.

This will be appealed.
Toyota has a right to do so.
The case is still ongoing.
When punitive damages are established, the appeal process will go forward.

No. You don't get it. Done deal, in the history books, popcorn eaten. Wait for next batch. So much for bellwether. Be suspicious of AP.

JJ wants desperately to see Toyota out of business.
This prospect makes him very happy.
Just think--50 or 60 thousand North American workers out on the street.

In the meantime, I'll put my money on an appeal.

Still trying to figure out how toyota will appeal? Let me know when you get to the bottom of it, legal man. Lol

If Toyota waives an appeal, then I guarantee there will be no punitive damages awarded.
This case was in Oklahoma, an ultra conservative state.
It's a state where tort lawyers sue to live and live to sue.
The odds were stacked right from the git go.
Toyo got a bum wrap, but will not pay a huge monetary penalty this time.

Understand this....

As at Friday October 25, 2013.
The Oklahoma accelleration case is settled.
Plaintiffs wil receive $3 million.
There will be no punitive damages.

Also, understand this...

Toyo wisely agreed to that settlement on the condition they would not appeal, and thus avoided risk of having to pay a huge punitive settlement.
Plaintiffs wisely agreed to that settlement because they knew the case could be lost on appeal.
This is not justice.
It's legalized extortion.

No one knew the settlement would be "sans appeal" until Friday, October 25, when it was announced publicly.
Not even the fraud---JJFADS aka Root.

Why does JJFADS aka Root find it necessary to pretend??
Why is it necessary to play multiple roles with IP Spoofing tactics??
Can anyone cheating like this be trusted??

Lol dealing with you is funny. Everyone knew when toyota was found guilty by the jury, justice was served and when they were found to have acted recklessly that opened up punitive payment on top of the 3 million. toyota was smart to pay the undisclosed amount on top of the 3 mill because they knew the award would have been greater if they would have fought after the fact. Everyone also knew there could be no appeal after they settled Friday morning.

Your excuses are many just as with the Volt. The process worked as predicted and justice was served. It's funny when those that don't agree with verdicts act out. "They will win on appeal, tort reform (conservative principle by the way) Oklahoma is an ultra conservative state, bum rap, extortion etc!"

Tell me, will you have the same argument when a jury in California and Michigan finds them guilty too? What then will the excuses be? Might be time for the conspiracy theory to make an appearance if it really gets bad, lol. 700 more to go... do like me... just sit back and relax. Eat a bowl of buttered popcorn, wait for the next verdict and be happy.

"Everyone knows"--??
"My excuses"--??

I guessed wrong.
You guessed right.
It could have gone either way.
End of story.

Now, speaking of "everyone knows" and "excuses".....
What's your "excuse" for the "JJFADS aka Root" scam you've been playing all along??
"Everyone knows" about that little game.

Believe me pal, you've got a whole lot more to be concerned about than your petty distaste for everything Toyota.

Cheers back at ya.
