Why did your border watch program lose its funding when the results were so positive. After losing a son through drugs, I only wish we had the same program in Australia to protect our borders. We are receiving over 100 a week (they call them Asylum Seekers). We have not got a border like the Mexican Texas Border that with the help of cameras could be better protected and a lot of drugs taken off the streets and lives saved. We are surrounded by ocean - our surveillance is by air and sea, but the drugs still get through. No money saved is worth saving if it can stop the evil scourge of drugs getting through to your community and the drug lords from getting rich from the misery they cause. I only hope the powers to be or the Governor of your State of Texas give the Authority and the funding to reactivate the cameras. GOD BLESS AMERICA from down under AUSTRALIA. It is interesting if you try to use the Blue Servo site. It appears to be grossly infected with Viruses. If it still operating wouldn't it be better to remove those viruses to achieve the results that once had.

Why is blueservo only operating 4 cameras now? I used it a lot and reported numerous possible illegal entries.

It is because it was so effective that it is no longer in use. It seems the government overall has no real interest in securing the borders nor catching much less deporting illegal aliens or otherwise punishing those who assist them with jobs, fake documents, housing, tax scams, identity theft, social services, and otherwise furthering their criminality.

I too watched the cameras just about every night for 2-3 hours. I know I reported over 100 crossings in the last 2 years, until they shut most of the cameras off, I live in Mission Tx which is only 4 miles from the rio grand river and I believe the border patrol could use all of the help they can get from the public. The border patrol and law enforcement does a good job so let us help them by watching the cameras. again I want to thank our border and law officers from keeping our country safe.

Does anyone have any more updates on BlueServo coming back on line? We have watched it for hours and turned in many illegal crossings and drug dealings since joining up. Really enjoyed being part of the program.

See the government doesn't want us to know exactly how many are really crossing the boarders.

Does anyone have any idea if and when Blue Servo will resume? I watched it for at least 2 hours a day and turned in several crossings as did others probably watching at the same time. The night infrared ones were really neat altho it was hard to tell Border Patrol vehicles from the bad guys with infrared.

It is much more sinister than that. The site was removed because citizens were watching too much. The areas also afforded terrorists an avenue to infiltrate the country both through Mexico and Canada in remote areas. They don't always come in groups but dribble in 1 or 2 at the time. The current powers abused by the Attorney General and the POTUS and his Administration are orchestrating and enabling loose borders for a reason. There is a sub-movement afoot and Congress and the Senate are afraid to pursue it. Why would the US negotiate with terrorists, illegally and under the table?
Small victories and subtle moves like shutting down Blue Servo is a preparatory move for something bigger and our elected officials who do not pursue its demise are part of the problem. Sharia law is now allowed in the US...what does that tell you? Why does Homeland Security need armored vehicles? Some better than the military. And why drive around in vehicles with no logos, markings or park in discreet building sites. Is this the new gestapo?

BlueServo was originally operated by South Texas Coalition of Border Sheriffs. It was turned over to the Texas Department of Public Safety sometime around the 2008 elections. It gradually began to go down after that until it disappeared completely. This was never a Federal program, although I'm sure there were Fed Grants involved. Mayhem, note bthe date. The program was begun while W was Gov. of TX & all through his Presidency, you know, the days when we were still trying to secure the border. 2008 hit & bye bye border security. I spent many sleepless nights & many days watching the border. Now would be a good time to rattle Perry's cage on this.
