If Jeff wants to know what attitude and arrogance will do for a celebrity, let's see how he handles his DWI. Will he step up to the plate and take it like the man he portrays himself to be, or will he work to get special consideration because he kicked a football around at UT and found a job at KLBJ taking potshots at others? It's amazing what comments are coming in from his a large number of his supporters. "Hang in there", "people make mistakes",and "we still love you cause you're such a great dad". Now is the time for reflection, for "all glory is fleeting".

To Watcher, Come on give the guy a break. Have you never made a mistake? He is a great talk show host and happens to be very liked and respected around here.

I'll give Jeff Ward the same break on his DWI mistake they gave me on mine. NONE. The difference, I can admit my mistake. Bet he refused the breath test, that's why he got a field test. Also bet they didn't take a blood test,(celebrity status), and that's why he'll probably beat the DWI conviction. It also helps to have lots of money for the best of lawyers. Like the guy, I can't say one way or another. Respect the guy, we'll see.

As the Austin American Statesman said, his fiance called the Chief of Police to have him intervine, which he did apparently saying their was not enough evidence. What? I thought that was up to the courts, not the police to decide.

Lucky for him he does not have a Commercial Driver License or is a Mechanic or a Driver for Capital Metro both of whom must maintain a CDL, and who he often maligns. Furthermore, CDL holders are subject a .002 blood alcohol limit which 1/4 of what a non CDL holder is subject too.

If he did have a CDL, he would have been out of a job on Friday; FIRED.

heard today from two different cops at two different times that he called the C.O.P. before he even talked to the arresting officer.

I've known Ward in school and although he may be arrogant at times, he's not a liar. If there's doubt, why not interview the people in attendance at the function he was emceeing? I've talked to a few of those who were there and they say he only drank a beer or 2, max.

The police acted too zealously in arresting him. Sounds like Jeff was innocent and APD needs a lot more training of their officers.

Watcher and Moana, It sounds to me like you are just bitter. Just because you got a raw deal you think everyone else should too. How childish!

What they need is a new police chief. Acevedo is encouraging his officers to arrest people, even when no crime has been committed.

This facist needs to go.
