See, one rocket and speculators panic and the price goes up. Had nothing to do with the Administration. Prices are set by one's feelings.

You're right! They raise the prices because they can. Simple as that.

Unfortunately I think what the government forgets during these times is that they want us the American people to tighten our belts by reducing our energy usage and buying more efficient vehicles, etc. The problem is that my income does not allow me to invest such endeavors on a large scale.
I will probably never own a new car. I will never be able to build my own home. The one I do own I love dearly. But, I got it because it was rundown and the owner (by the grace of God!) made a wonderful deal with us to allow us to be able to live where we are.
I do my best to help the environment. I keep my equipment in my home in tip top shape. I have changed over to these fluorescent light bulbs that "actually DO seem to work in our climate now!" I do my best to recycle and am conscious of the energy and environmental choices I make.
Yet, I have no control what is offered to me for the money I make. If the auto companies do not offer me a hydrogen fueled vehicle at a price I can afford, what do I buy? If the only way to move around is to use an automobile that burns gas, what do I do? If my home has a heater that burns natural gas - What am I going to use to heat my home?
The choice is obvious...
The summation here is that until I see a motorcade out of Lansing that is using armored Volkswagens instead of Suburbans, I have no choice but to stay the course and live as best I can.
Thanks for reading.
