The soldier, from the Townsville based 2nd battalion was on a night foot patrol with Afghan Army soldiers 85 kilometres north east of Tarin Kowt.

Julia says "we are on a mission in Afghanistan , and will stay the course". How many politicians have ever seen active service in the military? And how many have their children over their in an american led cultural war? Sounds like the Vietnam and 'all the way with LBJ.Look at Iraq now. Want to go their for a holiday and see the craddle of civilization.After all, George Bush declared the 'mission accomplanished' there. Besides our dead, many return home with mental problems.
