Well the Tassie Tiger was an animal of light bushland; it wasn't an animal for heavy scrub. This makes the claim that the tiger could be hidden in remote forests somewhere less than plausible.

It's extinct, let it die.

scientists should be able to within the next 20 years bring the tiger back to life ,they get its dna and put it into a dog just like the dingo

Yes that's theoretically possible.

Well not quite true. It's likely there were probable races of the same species that adapted to both light scrub and heavy bushland. I have read a few accounts Tassie Tigers being trapped in thick forest and in isolated mountain areas of Tasmania. I think we can't categorically rule out Tigers hiding out in South Eastern Victoria but we can say RIP for the Tassie Tigers.

Can't wait until they figure out the dinosaurs.
That'll be worth seeing.

Ermm...lol...no, the big scary ones with big teeth & stuff.
I'd call those ones living fossils.
They probably should be extinct but for some reason they're not.

O.T. Post something the forum displays the red warning about by ignoring it & clicking Post Comment again anyway & it looks like no one else can see it.
Guess that means a few of mine haven't made it lately.
Had to remove a sentence describing the occupants of those links for this to post correctly :(

I've seen Katterisoz Northwestqueenslandius before in the wild.
Watched one performing some sort of ritual at a billabong late one afternoon.
Funny lookin' thing, had a weird type of appendage growing off it's head that it could detatch momentarily in the presence of females.

Haven't seen the other one.

Go to your local Blockbuster and rent "The Hunter", starring Willem Dafoe.

He plays a scientist in the wilds of Tasmania searching for tiger.

There's an unexpected plot (of course) and I remember seeing boobs in one scene.

Also some great CGI of the subject matter, which is pretty cool to see I must say. Love Willem Dafoe, he's a great actor. One of my all time favourites. Ever since I saw him in David Lynch's "Wild at Heart". He gets his head blown off in a bank robbery and it goes flying pretty high. What a talent!

Bill Heffernan, now I'd vote for him; he and Brownyn Bishop (who I believe has now retired). They're the only two politicians of recent times who were consistently prepared to stand up and tell their own party no. The efforts Bill Heffernan did to stop companies like McDonalds & Heinz from importing contaminated meat (which those two companies dumped a consignment load in the Wagga Wagga tip) isn't known by enough people; and Brownyn was pure class.

Elias, you need to take that bigotry of yourself and snip it, for it's unwarranted.

Oh ok, sorry.

Tuckey, trying to remember which one he was. I always got him confused with another Liberal, and one of them was the most detestable creature in parliament... actually that's not true, there were several rejects from the Apple Isle.

Joe Haughey is a great big koala bear, cuddly on the outside but scratches and pisses on you if you irritate him.
