This petition in regard to Macedonia, is this in reference to Greece or the Former Yugoslav Republic? To my knowledge FYROM is trying to steal and falsify Greek (Macedonia) history. I believe the Slavs of FYROM are predominently Bulgarian descent with some Albanian. Whereas the Greeks of Macedonia (Northern Greece) have been a Hellenic tribe from the ancient times of Alexander The Great GREEK!

NO! It's the other way around Roger.

Greeks were producing ALL the Balkan wars with the decades/centuries, making Macedonia unable to HEAD-UP and defense herself - while on the other side, they were capitalized ON IT...by spreading a false propaganda, lying to the World, stealing and offcource EXPANDING THEIR very small and ONLY Hellas territory INTO "CLASSICAL-GREEK" one.

It's very hard to explain a such a long history and events in a brief post...but I hope that the truth WILL BE AVAILABLE VERY SOON TO ALL....and you and the rest WILL REALY UNDERSTAND OUR MACEDONIAN POSITION.

BTW. MACEDONIANS were NEVER Greeks and they will never be one. Macedonians are separate ethnic group and THEY are descendants of the Philip II and Alexander the Great from ancient history.

Begging your pardon but it is you who are confused. Anyone who beleives that a misinterpretation of terminology and context is a claim to historical continuity is at best uneducated. Using the 'lingua franca' concept only shows ignorance as ancient Hellenism was united by modern Hellenism to produce future Hellenism.
