I am not surprised at some of the apathetic and insensitive comments made by some posters. The Aussie forum over the past has been notorious for its racist musings. One could very well understand why those at the wrong end of such ramblings have developed indifference and even ill feeling to the Aussies.I wonder how many of the same indignant posters took the troubles to denounce the posters who had indulged in wanton abuse and humiliation of other ethnic groups. If you refuse to accept the inherent humanity of another person per se, then you have no right to expect humaneness from the same individual, just because you now longs for it.It is very right when they--as you sow, so shall you reap. End of the story.

I've always maintained that the only good albino is a dead one. Good riddance to the filthy white scum.

Hey why do some people mock others misfortune,as you say the people did not ask for the floods,I know what it is like to be in a flooded area as a couple of yrs ago we in the East Yorkshire area was hit by flooding [not to the degree that you Aussie,s have bin]and there are still some people recovering from the after effects of it,me included I fell in the flood water and was hurt very badly the doc,s did not know whether or not I had broke my back [fortunately not] so don't ANYONE tell me that people asked for it,I have friends in Mary-borough [sorry if I spelt it wrong] and I so worried for their safety they did not ask for this utter devastation,I am following it all on-line as its the only thing I can do,I wish it was more I cant do much to help except be there for them when they go on-line as folowing my fall I have developed Arthritis in my back quite bad but that is nothing compared to what is going on there. SO PLEASE KEEP SAFE ALL OF YOU AUSTRALIAN,S and maybe nxt time you can win the ASHES.

Man, there are some ridiculous comments on this topic. Even if some Australians are racist, I still don't think that anyone deserves to go through the horrible devastation and loss that so many have suffered from these floods, it's just pure sadness and that's all :(
