Of course a carbon tax won't cool the planet. Planetary thermodynamics are not controlled by taxes.

But carbon taxes WILL lower the rate at which GHGs are emitted (by lowering demand and making alternatives cheaper in relative terms), so a carbon tax WILL lower levels of GHGs which will prevent more heat buildup.

How did he get it half right with such all wrong thinking?
