I'm very glad that there is proper testing of evidence.....otherwise I would be in jail as a result of a false accusations by a Chinese lady using me as a visa portal and gravy train. Thankfully that forensically and logically she was proven a Liar.... A terrible day it would be if unable to test the evidence given by an accuser of any crime. Whoever tries to change this age old right is indeed evil and wicked.

Same rules for all accused and accusers. If some are embarrassed, too bad. Better an embarrassed witness than a false conviction

I think its can be wrong sometimes Bob. Sometimes there is enough evidence to convict but traumatic and cruel questioning still happens. It can be pointless at times.

And who shall decide that? Many women use this accusation falsely, for many bad reasons, and you want to give them a free pass? Bet you'd sing a different tune if the shoe was on the other foot

PREAMBLE: A LAWYER'S RESPONSIBILITIES

A lawyer is a representative of clients, an officer of the legal system and a public citizen having special responsibility for the quality of justice.
As a representative of clients, a lawyer performs various functions. As an advisor, a lawyer provides a client with an informed understanding of the client's legal rights and obligations and explains their practical implications. As an advocate, a lawyer zealously asserts the client's position under the rules of the adversary system. As a negotiator, a lawyer seeks a result advantageous to the client but consistent with requirements of honest dealing with others. As an intermediary between clients, a lawyer seeks to reconcile their divergent interests as an advisor and, to a limited extent, as a spokesperson for each client. As an evaluator, a lawyer examines a client's legal affairs and reports about them to the client or to others.

False rape accusation are, in my opinion, just as severe as rape, as a matter of fact falsely accusing someone of rape or any other violent crime and allowing them to suffer being jailed and/or imprisoned is rape in itself. The after effects are the same; shame, disgrace, trauma, fear of being falsley accused again, etc. False accusations of rape or any other violent crime(s) destroy lives.
