Hi Selina,

If that's about the crash on the Maryborough exit from Bruce HWY at Tinana, then you should know that this place is notorious for its crashes. We crashed on 11/06/2011 at the same place where the truck rolled over but we were driving a car and that's why we survived. Your relatives can sue Transport and Main Roads for what happened to your relative.
The law company that has already have a case against Main Roads for a fatal crash on Bruce HWY is Shine Lawyers, their number is 13 11 99. Call them and tell your story, they will advise you what to do next, then they will conduct their own investigation and let you know whether the case can be successful. You may get millions out of the Government, it won't bring your relative but will act as motivation for the Transport and they will have to fix that Road, so that it will be safe for drivers.

Please, if you read that message, pass it to the closest relatives. I am really sorry for your loss and I am 100 % sure that the driver of the vehicle didn't do anything wrong, he just followed the signs of the Road and then he was just watching the crash without having any time for reaction. That is what happened to us as well.

I am sorry once more,

Deni

Talking about the crash on 11/06/2011 on the Maryborough exit from Bruce HWY at Tinana. This was my first crash ever. i have been driving for many years in Europe. In different whether conditions snow and ice etc, and have never had a single accident.
On 11/06/2011 we were following the signs for recommended speed around the road. Our much loved car didn't make it. It happened for few seconds . I from the driver become a passenger watching the move. The exit slope helps you to run out. The road is narrow with concrete barriers on both sides. After the car was skating on the wet road it hit the right concrete barrier and in a moment after that there was a left curve on the exit. The Car twisted and hit the left concrete barrier. The speed was law, about 50k. The airbags didn't open. We were alive and shocked, thanks God!

The police wrote me a ticket for lose control on the vehicle!!!!!!!!

I don't care for the ticket or the car.

This exit is covered with blood. Blood of innocent people.

This place has to be destroyed and rebuild.

Selina, if I was driving a truck I won't be writing now.

Keep safe. I am sorry for your uncle, he had no chance!

I am a friend of the driver killed in the truck crash on the bridge at Tinana. For some reason only known to him, he decided to carry a passenger that day and as a result his family has been denied WorkCover payout and any right to litigate against the State as he violated regulations by doing what he did.

Also, the truck was too close to the railing of the bridge and this is how it rolled as it appears to have caught on the lip of it. So insurers are also saying driver error. Thing is, when ambos arrived on scene they found the passenger who was also a truckie in the driver's cabin.

So you will find that giving legal advice in this forum without the facts is giving hope where there is none.

I was a professional heavy transport driver for many years so I saw more than you could ever imagine it to be.

Petitions tend to get lost in Qld Transports system so I suggest a class action against their engineers who designed the road
