Well I've been saying for years, that youth unemployment rate in Country Australia is so high, yet rural fruit processing and meat abattoirs can't find labor!

Blame the locals unemployed youth who prefer welfare to hard physcial work.

And blame the Governments for the creation of the welfare dependent classes.

It's criminal, these 18-30 yr olds collecting dole when a few miles away the abattoir is having to recruit people from thousands of miles away. They already recruit Fijians and islanders to work in fruit processing plants in places like Mildura and Shepparton which have unemployment rates of 8% and 6% respectively.

The pays not bad, but the work is shitty.
If you're not involved in the actual slaughtering, then you get to do night shift as a cleaner.
A lot of 'meat processing plants' need to review the mind numbingly long day and repitition of the job.
10 hours plus travelling time is no joke.
Most get the bigger bucks in the mining sector at the moment, that's just for unskilled labor.

In the rural part of nsw I came from originally, there was no seasonal fruit picking and the abbatoir closed down, so not all youths are lazy.

Yeah it's friggin spastic, I'm thankful I was taught that being a dole bludger meant you where scum, There is only a shortage of young workers in Roma because we are all hired in the exploding coal seam gas industry, but we still can't get Australian youths to move out here because they are to busy bludging on the coast or in the cities.

Yeah, can't say I had the pleasure, my best mate did for seven months, nearly did himself in driving back from nightshift when he fell asleep at the wheel. After a three month lay off recovering, decided it would be better doing something else.

Many food processing plants require some sort of experience and how does a recent school leaver gain experience?
Elias wrote:

Some unemployed youth are simply unemployable and won't be employed even by businesses desperate for labour, their reputations may proceed them due to the close-knit nature of country towns.

On the other hand someone known around town to be a hard worker will have little trouble sourcing work. In the city you could compete with 200 other anonymous halfwits for the same type of job and the employer will know you only from your resume or the drunken photos of yourself you uploaded onto your Facebook profile.

Also, any business in a country town which has trouble sourcing workers locally may have substandard working conditions and/or pay for the work expected to be done, bad reputations are hard to shake off in a rural community whereas anonymous dodgy businesses in the city can go from strength to strength without any localised impetus to reform their behaviour, that's one of the many reasons why crooks and parasites concentrate themselves in cities.

I've worked for a couple of badly-run businesses where I could've left and gotten unemployment benefits straight away, one was already on the Centrelink dodgy businesses list. One folded as I was still working there, the other folded soon after. Both businesses had already burnt their local supply of labour by the time I started employment at them.

I take your point. I did a stint picking carrots in the early 1970s during summertime in the baking sun. However as an 18 yr old I was able to accomplish this with little physical wear, of course it would be torture for 40+ year old who has never done anything other than a desk job.

What do you mean by that..
I think he means only a Muslim Indian will be involved in beef (cow) slaughtering.

The Hindu think the cow is one series's of castes dieties in the human / spirit step ladder - a cow is ranked above some humans in what they worship.

The problem with Indian Muslim slaughter men is two things. It's non halal killing of the animal.

And the Indians are incredibly unclean and full of infectious diseases (TB, hepatitis ABCD,, dengue, malaria, gut worms and flukes, chronic skin diseases & now NDM-1 a new mortal infectious disease sweeping across India ( there is no cure - it makes even mild bugs & germs totally resistant to any medicine or antibiotic treatment).

Over 93% of all Indians have one or more serious infectious communicable disease (WHO 2010 report).

Over one third of Indians have NDM-1 now.

Almost none of this is checked on immigration here and the 'medical tests' are massively frauded.
Over half the Indians in Australia are here on false papers and almost all have fraudulent medical checks.(DIAC paper 2013).

So putting third world visa Indians into our local meat processing, is a sure fire way to have mass outbreaks of new and lethal third world infectious disease here.

And to destroy our meat export industry.

Not a good idea.

I wouldn't buy steak that an Indian has touched.
Fastest way to get sick really badly.

People have no idea just how diseased and filthy the Indian is and that once it's established in their gut and body ; they spread that disease wherever they go. It doesn't matter how they live here.
They come in diseased and they all have fake medical checks (massive bribe racket in India with so called 'authorised doctors' in frauding these.

The Indian does not wash their hands or keep clean like most humans. They shit in the street or over open communal holes with a little plastic water tube or a pot of water , and they wipe or scrape away with their faeces with their fingers.

They often urinate or spread faeces over their clothes as they are baggy and stupid in design and function.
Never touch a Indians left hand or allow that to touch you or anything you may touch. It's the filthiest part of an Indian / the left hand under the finger nails - is all dried faeces from when they scrap or finger their bums.

There is no soap or disinfectant or toilet paper in India. The woman re/use rag strips for their period or even dust or ash from the street or fireplace. As such everyone in India has chronic disease dripping off them. STDs are rampart.
TB and Hepatitis are everywhere. So is dengue and malaria. Every Indian has some kind of worm infection, the eggs are in everything in the food chain. Most Indians have impetigo and other open skin sores.
Quite frankly if I knew that an Indian was part of food processing meat, I would refuse to buy it.
-
The asian countries do not allow Indians to be part of mass food processing (meat or fish or even vegetables & fruit) for this very reason.
Community health concerns.

If we allow Indian workers to get into and then infect out meat exports, the Asians will shut us out of their markets.
