But first and foremost an end to the indicisive Gillard government that won't move faster to process these poor unfortunates (as their predessors were guilty of) or trying to negotiate and financially aiding Indonesia who are helping send them here through corrupt officials....They are a poor excuse for a government at the best of times but their lack of making decissions that affect imprissoned people for no good reason other than they don't want to upset the voter anymore than they have over their decietful conduct in the Thompson and Slipper affairs is slimey at best....dump them, it's not like most of us don't have enough proof that they are negligent, lying, backstabbing, inhumane, cretins...they make the marfia look like school kids with their goings on....

You had a look at Australia on google Maps?

We are a desert, we have a completely different eco-system to the states and a VERY DELICATE ONE, for all your pro carbon tax rants Humbert you sure are a retard, we already have cities running out of water, if it wasn't for the last couple of years we WOULD have run out of water, Australia is on its logical limit of human expansion, anymore will have huge detrimental effects on our wildlife and environment, hell its already being messed up now, if we had double the people there wouldn't be much hope for it.

We are a democratic republic...and Australia is not a banana republic.......mind you with Gillard it's heading that way....but you love her so you wouldn't agree with that......
Note Australia is a hell of a lot smaller than America so it can house that many people...but you have mass problems with lack of jobs and health care and violence etc because of the humungas ammount of people and ethnic diversity that it can and sometimes does cripple your country....we don't want your problems...we have enough of our own....the difference is they are manageble if governments didn't misuse the tax payers dollar...seems we can't get a government that can budget, fix the ifrastructure and create jobs.....because they are too busy trying to have a say in what the rest of the world is doing.....to the point they are donating millions to Afghanistan more than most leading Nato countries that are much larger and have way more dollars than us....This is done simply so that they the Labor government in Australia is recognised by the world....I say fix what is broken at home first and we need that money to create jobs and to increase pays like pensions (they live far below the basic wage) and the dole, because if you don't have the jobs these people have to live.....This government is more woried about how it is percieved internationally than taking care of it's own backyard first.. Bloody Gillard!

Immigration to the U.S. from its neighbor Mexico is at zero% if not negative. While last year close to 400,000 Aussies visited LA alone.

Being isolationists I dont think is the answer. Have a small population is already a problem with filling jobs in Aus. If they shut down immigration it will be a major problem to fill the jobs.

A double edged sword.

Ironically it's often migrants themselves who face unemployment and scarce resources living in places like western Sydney who would be the first to want immigration stopped.

I have no problems stopping immigration entirely, it would lower pressure on job seekers.

Reckon it;s big business who would like the supply of new migrants to continue. Yes, happy to see the tap turned off.

Ah Humbert you pathetic trash. I wonder why it's always idiots and cowards running their mouths to Australians they scarcely know.
The last thing on this planet we Australians want to end up like is the overpopulated, poluted, violent, corrupt, slum infested, bankrupt clown asylum that was once the United States of America.
We do "WORK and CREATE" you scum, that's why we're rich.
That's why PARASITES are trying to decend upon us.
We are short of WATER Humbert you idiot.
Sydney and Melbourne are now under stress.
Most of our arible land is either farms or National and State Parks.
Should we keep piling these foreign bums in and see our beautiful cities turnes into shitholes like New York and London?
Should we destoy our amazing National Parks to build more cities for whining foreign filth?
Or should we just tell foreign vermin like you to piss off and mind your own business?

That's true, "habitable" Australia is a thin strip of coastline where 90% of the population live.

Why are you still here?

Didn't we all decide you licked balls.

(Perhaps there way an apology or a change catalyst of some note that I missed in my absence?)

In other words your ideological (thanx palawa) patriotic all 'merican views are well covered in such quality programming as keeping up with the kardashians and jersey shore? You really aren't required here. You have plenty of people all with opinions similar to your own, all tapping away at their keyboards, all writing on the US forum, all little clones of humbert.

Why not go there and leave us the fu*k alone.

this topic is contradicting because you want to end immigrants but you can't survive without them.

Without immigration, the local real estate, retail services, education market etc will die, who's gonna pay for your roads, water, electric, railway, infrastructures etc?

Go back to your Fu©king country or stay in it.

There are american overstayers in ours. If our countries were not allies, they will be stuck in detention centres with the other illegals.

We already have too many people in public transport like sardines during peak hour, housing too expensive
and traffic jams on the freeway
We don't want to live like indians in 2m x 2m huts because lack of land
Why do you think more people means better for roads water etc ??

The highest number of illegals actually are from China. However, don't let that bother you.) Then, USA and UK follow up.

There are Aussie overstayers in the US. However, if we weren't so culturally close, a part of the Anglosphere, sharing the same language and Western values, I'd probably be a bit of a grump too.) However, illegals in the US are way out of control. Nothing wrong with a few cool Aussies sprinkled amongst them.

BTW, Mr Humbert is not an American. He exists to sow discord between Australia and the US. He's literally written thousands of hate rants, registered and unregistered, under a few guises, over 4 years, slandering Australia while exhibiting pre-school sub-Google-knowledge of both countries.

You were talking about football the other days. Yes, like AFL much more than League. No, not in Melbourne. Based in Sydney. Seen a few Swans' games. However, like soccer the best. Hope Aussie domestic soccer league strengthens it's profile here.

Where are you located ? You're Australian ?

Damn straight, I am Australian.

Go visit ACT from Sydney. Tidbinbilla has a NASA outpost there.
