<quoted text> Not a popular decision with me either. Gillard was recently voted most unpopular Australian after Julian assange. Hoever a number of national party members are also canvassing for a flood levy.
I'm going to post something soon (when I finish typing it out) which will be a huge eye-opener for all the fence-sitters.

Don't know why Australians hate Oprah? She portrayed Australia in a very positive light. I saw all her shows. Wasn't she singing "Still call Australia home" on the steps of the Opera House before 70 thousand.

As someone who despises Australia I found the scene nauseating.

Truth is Oprah SHOULD NOT have gone to Australia. Too antiamerican. Can't win with those "tall poppy" haters.

We're actually getting coverage of Vic floods up here now. Pollies are on TV almost begging us to buy Aus made products to help support the growers/manufacturers. Pity they didn't think of that before they started importing the massive amount of food stuffs and practically crippling many farmers previous to the floods. We should NOT be importing foods that we grow here at all.
I think this has been a big wake-up call for our dictatorship government!
I think the public are buying in to supporting local farmers, we have farmers direct selling direct to the public.

What makes you think she is hated? A recent survey found oprah is rating higher than the tennis
