Show me a country which isn't full of brainwashed idiots... there isn't one. I'm no fan of Oprah and even much less of Jerry Springer - the garbage that American TV rolls out has to be seen to be believed.
HAHAHA, isn't that the truth. I did see some pretty weird TV in your country too though..

For every piece of garbage that comes out of the USA, we have equally educational and worthy scientific style programming. You guys just do not get it delivered for some reason. Probably due to bandwidth constraints.

It is a pity the curvature of the Earth prevents you from directly catching our satellites, just as I cannot do with you programming.

Excellent choice.

I just watched 'Demolition Man' over the weekend. It was an ominous version of what the liberals want for us, and how society would react.

"You see, according to Cocteau's plan, I'm the enemy,'cause I like to think; I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I'm the kind of guy who likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?" I WANT high cholesterol. I wanna eat bacon and butter and BUCKETS of cheese, okay? I want to smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section. I want to run through the streets naked with green Jell-o all over my body reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiener". "

HA HA HA HA, if you have never seen it, please do try and make it past Stallone and the gratuitous violence..

I do not put this on Oprah. She is not a feminazi, but I've never watched the show either.
She very much is a feminazi and has made herself wealthy by reprogramming white middle class women.

Yep, we have plenty of garbage on TV too - gotta feed the brainless because they won't watch anything that might strain their little brains - and that's the aim of all these shit-shows eh!

I had the opportunity to watch 'Demolition Man' a while back and didn't because I just can't stand Stallone... but am downloading it now so will try to persevere with it.:) Thanks for the tip but if I'm going to put myself through the trauma of suffering old Sly it had better be worth it! Will let you know.:)))

One last thing and then I'm off to bed. School is where it starts and our curriculum has changed so much over only the last few years. Apparently it's far more important now for the kids to be educated on the 'ways of islam' than for them to be taught a little of Australia's history... well except for how badly the aboriginals were treated by the dreadful white man.

RE: "Hope you and your family are safe from the floods. North Victoria has also been hit."

Yep we are. Thanks for that - we missed out on the brunt of it this time - was our turn in 2008. Been busy organising and collecting material donations for the town of Theodore - that whole town went under and they seem to be getting passed over by the gov since the focus is all on Brisbane now.

And now the hateful gutless Gizzard wants to stick us with a tax levy or two to pay for the flood repairs... nothing like the poor man always paying twice!!!

I guarantee you will get some laughs from it. If you look at the deeper political connotations you must have to think someone should write a similar story that is less 'cheezie' on the special effects and stupid 'star power'. Some real actors and improved dialogue and you would have a real winner, IMO.

As always, you have my best wishes, C. If you need anything from the states, let me know privately. I have been sending a few items to my mates there and could probably piggyback a delivery.

I warms my heart to know not everyone is content to become cattle to the 'intellectual elite', that know what is best for everyone...with no practical experience in anything.

Thanks for the offer Doc - how about sending over about 2000 white construction workers??? >:) I just know we are going to be swamped with third worlders who have about as much idea of construction as their doctors have about doctoring! In fact, the gov is putting out by the powers of suggestion now, saying we definitely won't have enough construction people, which in code means - INCREASE IMMIGRATION BECAUSE WE NEED MORE FILTH to add to our misery!!! Gotta love the shirt-lifters eh!

My son's down from Darwin ATM (surprise visit - and I hate surprises!) and he takes over my computer to the point I'm never sure what he's going to do with it. I've threatened him with death if he changes anything but it doesn't always work as he's not as frightened of me as he used to be - or he does sneaky changes he hopes I won't discover until he's gone back to Darwin. Takes me 3 weeks to change it all back to how *I* want it to run. Hence all downloads were ceased, I've now got a different provider, he wants to install VOIP and I don't want it,(he bought down the biggest flashest phone system with him) and he's still got another 2 days to wreck havoc before he leaves!(Mind you, he does own and run his own Telecommunications business... but.....!).

Maybe I'll have Demolition Man by next week sometime.:)))

Last paragraph says:
"Winfrey is in the midst of the farewell season of her show. Last year, she showed her gratitude to her audience by announcing the all-expenses-paid excursion to Australia."
A previous paragraph says:
"The Australian government footed the almost $5 million bill for Winfrey and her guests, said Andrew McEvoy, managing director of Tourism Australia."
So how much did it actually cost O to "show her gratitude to her audience"?

I don't "need" to use this forum at all. Looks like you only use it for personal attacks, insults, sarcasm and nit-picking, so I guess I'll use it for anything I damn well please.

Not a popular decision with me either. Gillard was recently voted most unpopular Australian after Julian assange.
Hoever a number of national party members are also canvassing for a flood levy.

Glad to hear all is well.

Karang and horsham will be needing a lot of assistance, Victorians will be asked to help local fruit and veggie growers by buying damaged produce.

We're actually getting coverage of Vic floods up here now. Pollies are on TV almost begging us to buy Aus made products to help support the growers/manufacturers. Pity they didn't think of that before they started importing the massive amount of food stuffs and practically crippling many farmers previous to the floods. We should NOT be importing foods that we grow here at all.

I think this has been a big wake-up call for our dictatorship government!
