How can the Vice President of Fiji accept the invitation to be Chief Guest at a Rugby Match? What kind of picutre does it paint about who is for this and who isnt? Isn't anyone awake in Fiji? The nation is being held at ransom and yet not a single shot has been fired. Can you imagine what the circumstances will be when they exert force?

Fiji citizens only have themselves to blame. Because YOU the Citizen are the employer of Fiji Govt, Military ,etc.

Your weak voice as a nation have allowed scavangers to take center stage and their voice have replaced the voice of the people.

How can the Business Community stand idly by and accept this? All we have been hearing is how it is affecting their business. Hasn't anyone in the business market ever considered standing up for democracy? You seem to be all concerned about yourselves and what the level of profit will be this year.

What is the Legal Fraternity doing? Where is its voice in this fracas ? Do you need another conference to attend to discuss this? Why arent you standing up for democracy? Yours should be the voice of reason.

Why aren't the chiefs of the individual Vanua making their voices heard? Are they just waiting to take advantage of another sorry situation?

Where is the voice of the Church? The church leaders - where are you? where is your visionary leadership? Where is the wisdom that is needed now? Are you just waiting to do the clen-up after the sorry affair is over and lives have been killed, etc and more souls go to hell? We need men like David, Moses, Men who can stand in the gap....Prayer is one thing, but prayer and believing in standing up and doing something about it is even more powerful.

Why isnt the Indo-Fijian community speaking up? Why arernt their leaders making a stand for democracy and not just fanciful, water-downed concerned press statement we have heard to date.

Where are the Chinese Community voice?

Where is the Kailoma voice?

Why don't the Tourism Industry put their money where their mouth is and have the leaders of this industry organise a rally of hotel workers from all over the country to demonstrate for democracy - not for their jobs and livelihood, but for democracy.

All we have been hearing from Fiji to date are voices depicting their selfish positions - that includes everyone.

If we all have to sacrifice our livelihood, our economic position and everything else that is considered material for the sake of standing up for the sake of democracy, then that is a worthy price to pay.

Come on Fiji citizens, dont let fear dictate to you.

LETS STAND UP AND RISE..........

DR EDWIN COLE ONCE SHARED THAT IF THEY DO NOT LEAD BY REVELATION FROM THE TOP, THEN IT WILL COME FROM THE BOTTOM BY REVOLUTION.

LETS STAND AND MARCH FOR DEMOCRACY...LETS HEAR THE VOICE OF THE INDIVIDUAL...WE ARE FED UP OF THE VOICES OF THOSE WHO PURPORT TO REPRESENT US.

I just don't understand as why all you people overseas have a say on all the affairs that is happenning here at home.
If you need to say something try saying it close up here at home instead of shouting from far away, when you don't even know what the weather is like here.
Have you guy's forgotten??? things here in Fiji just takes time to get there.

And try reading in between the lines to understand the situation.

Fiji at the moment is not at the click of a gun, but if you need that rush, go on and push your luck 'cause the next time you come to Fiji, you will think you are still in the BRONX.

Prime Minister Qarase and his Government are the rightful, legitimate and democratically elected Government of Fiji. They have been ousted by a military regime !
Only Prime Minister Qarase has the proven political experience and stability to govern Fiji.
Only Prime Minister Qarase has the vision for Fiji.

Apparently no one is supid enough to do as you propose; not yet anyway. Qarase did not heed the military's warnings and now look where his stupidity got him. He is now sitting in his village and kicking himself. The business community in Fiji can do somthing though....finance an armed uprising; but I uess everyone knows the capability of Fiji's army. In summary all those things you mentioned is a litto late.

Apparently you have not lived in Fiji. Democracy is all well and good when the concept of democracy is embraced. You cannot justify destroying people's lives with democracy. For all of my working life I have been paying for "democratically elected" Governments' overspending, corruption, racism and you name it. People in Fiji know what democracy is and probably understand it better than most. We want true democracy and if this is the way to go about getting it...why not!!!

I have two options; (a)sacrifice a little now and secure my children's future or (b) keep paying through the ears to keep democracy alive. You chose!!!

The great council of Chiefs - indian division met last night and fully support Bani's government. The council will send their proposal to Great Council of Chiefs Fijian division to get the country into shape and get going. One of the proposal was to appoint Ovini Bokini as the President, and Mahendra Chaudry as Deputy PM. There will be only 14 Ministers - 5 fijian, 5 indian, 1 Rotuman, I Chinese and 2 other race. Any other suggestion. Please.

TOO MANY CHIEFS , NO INDIANS. WHEN INDIA GOT INDEPENDENT , NEHRU WITH ONE SIGNATURE GOT RID OF ALL THE MAHARAJAH'S OR KINGS, UNLESS THAT HAPPENS IN FIJI , THERE WILL NOT BE DEMOCRACY. THE CHEIFS WILL ALWAYS THINKS THEY ARE SUPERIOR. WHEN THERE ARE MANY CHIEFS , IT WILL ALWAYS BE CHIEFLY SYSTEM. IN MOST OF THE OTHER COUNTRIES WHO HAS KINGS AND CHIEFS , THEY ARE JUST FIGURE HEADS , NOT BE BE INVOLVED IN THE AFFAIRS OF THE GOVERNMENT . A GOOD EXAMPLE IS TONGA , PEOPLE TOLERATED KING FOR SO LONG BUT NOW THEY KNOW, KING SHOULD BE WORKING TOO.FIJI WAS ONE OF THE BEST COUNTRIS IN THE WORLD TO LIVE IN BUT LATELY I WENT AND CRIED TO WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO IT.

I SUPPORT FRANK AND HOPE ONE DAY THE CHIEFLY SYTEM WILL ONLY BE FIGURE HEADS
