I agree! The gov pays out over $2.5 million a month for refugees and gives Indonesia $45 million to build islamic schools - that's why it won't give any more than a lousy $25,000 for the Flying doctor service! The more it gives to our essential services the less it has for the poor refugees and third world countries!

Don't you understand how it works here?

I think $25,000 is fair, I'm happy to donate 0.01c toward the present.

Nah, we just dont want to give the overprivileged, overfed pommy wankers any of our hard-earned.$25000 is generous, Australia should give them a facsimile of Ned Kelly's armour.

Knowing our government from first hand experience I doubt that the Flying Docs which is a govt service will ever receive any money and I ask you why should they get any seeing they are a govt service.

A country as bountiful as Australia needs to give an appropriate tribute. I would have given something cultural.

Actually, the definition of "tight-fisted felcher" would apply more to members of billionaire Pommy families who insist on the Australian taxpayer picking up the tab every time they visit Australia.

$25,000 is a year's wage for many Australians who have enough home-grown parasites to stave off as it is.

We gave Charles and Diana 25 of those when they were married - the real deal, not the fake ones.

No no no, you got it wrong - it's OUR RFDS which gets the donation not the Poms.

Have they even got a RFDS over in Pommy land? I thought they'd just pray to allah and they'd be miraculously cured...

An electronic greeting card is more than enough for anyone with their resources. Anything we send will wind up lost in some palace or other anyway. Then take the 25K and use it to help our homeless. Get a grip on reality, people. There is GENUINE NEED in your own back yard. Go the republic!

Wouldn't it be a laugh if they did score the fake ones.
Do you think they would check the authenticity of the silver ?
