I used international driving school fro my vort to get my licence back as i let it expire more than 5 yrs while overseas working. this school is a total scam run by david frangiosa.

he said go to the roundabot about 1 minute into the test in North adelaide where the test was conducted never said turn or go straight until i was in the roundabout then said very quickly go straight ahead which i did .

we then just drove around for 15 mins and never did any parking or hils start or 3 point and u turns.

got back to the parking lot in Dunn st and he said FAILED because i didnt put the blinker on when i went straight ahead through the roundabout when exiting.

needless to say i said but you only told me to go straight once i was half through the roundabout.but he said no failed then i gave the mongrel a gob full for ripping me off

INTERNATION DRIVING SCHOOL ARE A RIP OFF DONT USE THEM

At some schools it's high pass % at some schools it's low pass%.

As for all the other people complaint about asshole examiners my guy was chilled, I failed 1st time cos I miss judged traffic but he didn't lose it , actually made me comfortable and spent tone explaining my mistakes. Came back 2 weeks later and smashed the test and real happy!!! All my mates used him also some passed first time done failed first time , but a very fair reasonable guy.

I had an American or Canadian called Denise in North Adelaide. If you ring and get her, just hang up.She failed me for only indicating for four seconds before moving off.I have driven 28 years without a ticket or accident, but she told me I needed to take a block of lessons. They have a vested interest in failing you. This method is flawed. Also it should be video taped to stop these scams. The vort is a rort
The fact that you say you never had an accident or ticket in 28 years does not mean you are the world`s best driver, maybe you were just lucky, or one of these 55km hr drivers that stick in the right lane

I failed twice with Excel drive , once for doing 44 in a 40 Km zone because saw no signs so I assumed it was a 50 zone, was only doing 44Km for about 2 seconds until I realised that I was in a 50 zone then I dropped back to 40. The second time was because the indicator decided to turn its self off halfway through a lane change ( I turned it on, did the lane change but for some reason it turned off half way through) I think that they just fail you so you have to go back and pay them another $240 in 14 days.

I do have a test booked in with a Denise via Darren Davis next weekend. Has anyone had her before? Also is it possible that legally you can have your uncle to sit in the back to make sure they dont scam me?

All I want is just an Vort tester who is fair and plays by the rules. I will leave my review of Denise on this site for the whole of Adelaide to see after my Vort test next fortnight . Be it a good review or a bad review.

VORT is Great if you know how to Drive. Can I ask what you Paid ? The Govt Fee is about $ 30 so whatever you pay after that is for the Tester and Instructor. I am an Instructor and I have Testers that do my Testing for me. We work well together and I have ALOT of Very Happy Students who Passed the VORT First Time. Dont just pick some Random out of the Phone Book, and Dont shop around for the Cheapest Price,( you get what you pay for ) go with someone who is recommended to you or you know of someone that have used them. Yes there are a few dodgy people out there, as with every industry, Dont worry, there day will come !! It's unfortunate to hear you speak this way, because these few baddies are giving all instructors a bad name. I know alot of Great Instructors, who love there Job and helping their students get their Licence is there Goal. A good Driving School or Instructor will care about their Reputation, Pass Rate etc. If you are and International Student, doing a Section 80 yes it is hard to pass the VORT First Time. You need to be a really good driver, and just because you have been driving on our Roads for 2 years or 12 years, doesn't make you a good driver. You need to take a few lessons and learn our Rules, and learn them well and put them into practice. Then you will Pass Test. You can be randomly selected to sit the Test again, by the Govt. So the Tester needs to be sure that you could pass that second test before they pass you the first time. I wish you well.

I so completely agree with you.Firstly when I looked at their website there was an option to choose between 60min and 90min lessons. When he rang me he said he only does 90min lessons. Fine. I was doing log book and on the very first lesson he made me sit in the driver's seat and asked me to start driving wihout even explaining anything to me. Second lesson he was late 10mins and didn't even apologise. My lessons were held at 7.00am on Sundays....I work full-time and having to wake up that early just to find out that he'll be late and not apologetic....was just hideous. Plus the biggest thing that put me off was that he kept fiddling with his phone throughout both the lessons. If its David Frangiosa from International Driving, Stay Away....that school is definitely dodgy.
