TEPID is a good descrition of Harper's reaction to the plight of Egyptian's seeking a democratic government after 30 years of a brutal police state under Hosni Mubarak.

Could Stephen for once step back from his blanket support of all things Israeli and support DEMOCRACY.

Egyptians were beaten up by Mubarak thugs again today!

Enough is enough!

Give Mubarak the boot or at least the SLAP of the BEAVER'S TAIL!

Iran is not the only dictator subverting democracy.

I am Canadian and live in Egypt and I can tell you that Canadians are respected and liked. During the Bush years, a number of my American friends here admitted to saying that they were Canadian rather than face the reaction of comming from a country that was so universally disliked.

However with the Harper administration the respect and admiration of Canada in the Arab world has decreased. Harper has damaged relations with the UAE (Dubai), one of the most liberal of Arab countries. And as some Arab nations are among the richest nations can Canada really afford to alienate them? While Canada maybe one of the biggest countries we have one of the smallest populations and an unbelieveably small number of trading partners.

Well lets see,we are the 11th top trading country in the world. One of the largest producers of oil and gas, with the tar sands reserves it makes us 2nd behind Saudi Arabia. We are one of the largest producers of agriculture, natural resources and we manufacturing. You are right what a loser nation P M Harper has made us,how will we survive without the middle east.As for the UAE the door swings both ways. Thanks to you a Canadian living in Egypt for making me understand MY country better. Thanks again from a CANADIAN living in CANADA.
