Atl. Cop's Rape Trial Set for July

Atlanta Police Officer Lamar Gavin's attorneys hope they can persuade a Fulton County Superior Court Judge to let him out on bond soon.

If everyone follows the facts of the case, It was the JUDGE that stated SHE did not see the rape. I find it interesting that a female judge would not support a rape charge if the evidence was clearly presented in a video. Maybe everyone should wait until after the trial, if there is one, to crucify this guy. If he is found guilty, put him away.

It doesn't matter that NO ONE in the Atlanta police Department or the Georgia Bureau of Investigations saw a rape occur after they viewed the tape. Paul Howard Jr. only cares about votes. He reminds me a lot like Mike Nifong, the DA who falsely prosecuted those Duke Lacrosse players for raping that stripper.

Just because someone has been accused of a rape doesn't make the accusation evidence. Personally, I think both the accused AND the accuser should be fully investigated before any kind of sex crime case goes to trial, to make sure who is telling the truth here. And you're right about Nifong, too bad that a lot of DA's refuse to take a really good look at the case from both sides because they might have to admit they don't have a case at all. And you probably know already that Nifong was disbarred and found guilty of criminal contempt for lying in court. He got a one-day jail sentence, which was way too short, but the conviction still stands.

lamar gavin can add forgery of police documents to the laundry list of charges against him ... he has been indicted for forging police documents as related to this case
if he is innocent why would he take such desperate measures?
if the victim is out for money, suing him would be a lost cause - an unemployed cop on his way to jail? she wouldnt get much ....

This seems like something a crazy alcoholic drug addict would say. Where do you get your information from? How can a police officer forge a police document? You must admit that this sounds crazy. And according to the lawsuit papers, this crazy old lady was trying to get a million dollars from the apartment complex because Officer Gavin lived there. Why would the complex ever give her a million bucks just cause a cop lived there? Please give us your "source" of information.

Folks, half of us at the police department have seen the sex tape between Gavin and Jennifer Hughey. He IS NOT close to raping this woman. First of all, we already knew about her because she had made false accusations against him before that he was cleared of. Secondly, she came to his place after 3am that night they had sex.
They started being sexual at his place, then she took him to her place and he brought his camera with him. She had her legs, butt, and hips in the air the whole time they're having sex. She's even making noises like a porn star as Gavin is going in and out of her vagina. At no point in time did Gavin force her to do anything.
Jennifer tried for months to get Gavin fired and she FAILED miserably. Gavin has been put on suspension because that's what always happens when a police officer is charged with a crime. The only reason Gavin had charges trumped up on him is because Paul Howard, Jr. doesn't like the police. There's not a snowballs chance in hell that a jury will convict Gavin for rape after they see the tape. And when the jury hears that he walked in the front door with her and his camera, all of the other charges will be cleared up as well.

I used to work at the apartment complex where Jennifer lived, and she never complained to any of us about Officer Gavin until she claimed he turned into Peter Pan and flew through her third floor window (which turned out to be a delusion). She's actually suing the apartment complex saying they're responsible for her getting drunk and having sex with Gavin. I can't wait to get on the stand and tell the jury she never had any conversations with me or anyone else at Connie Rose and Associates about having problems with Gavin. As a matter of fact, EVERYONE who was employed at the complex during that time will testify to the same thing. Did you all know she has bipolar disorder? If she's bipolar, what the hell is she doing drinking alcohol? Doesn't she realize alcohol only makes crazy delusional people even more crazy and delusional? What's the world coming to?

It has now been confirmed that Jennifer Hughey lied about being raped and kidnapped in Italy in 1986. She was NEVER in Italy during the time she said she was based on travel documents that have been obtained. This means she committed perjury!!!! She will be asked about this during her civil trial and she'll have nowhere to run and no excuses to use. She will be brought up on perjury charges without a doubt, punishable by up to 10 years in prison!! She must've thought no one would investigate her past false rape allegations.
