Anyone heard anything about this merger with a European company?

They should merge with Peugeot, nobody buys their crap either. Ingles is only marginally better than Food Depot (Food Depot has better meat).

Over the last two years, their stock has doubled. 203 stores.
Have you ever owned stock? I know you are needy but maybe you could buy one share.

I heard that Publix has expressed interest. After all why would there be a 100 million dollar expansion onto the local warehouse and no additional stores added? Hmmmmmmm? Also all of the store renovations are making the old ones match the size of Publix stores.

I just heard from reputable sources that Publix has made their second offer to buy Ingles. They made one offer early this year and have come back with a better offer this week. It's only a matter of time.

Ingle's is an attractive chain for Publix or Kroger to acquire if the Ingle family decides to sell the chain. The expanded distribution center in Black Mountain can accommodate more than the chain's 201 stores. I think more larger stores will be opening in the near future.

I would not be surprised to see another chain acquired. Who thinks Kroger would be interested in Bi-Lo?
