Should Lona Scott be out on bail?
#24 Feb 8, 2010
I had the misfortune of meeting Lona, her sister, and her mother many years ago. It now reminds me of watching a episode of "They call me Earl". Their family tree makes Sanford and son look like high society. I shot my husband in the back yet I claim self defense? Mistrial? What is Pauly Shore her jury foreman? Take this bimbo out back and put a slug in her and put an end to this. Gold digger turns murderer should be the name of the next post. My heart aches for not only Cliff's family but their children too. God bless those kids.

Lamont - Cliff's kids will read your comments someday ~ nice :( ~ the kids are still part of both parents.

I hope her kids do read my post one day while searching for answers as to why their daddy was MURDERED by their own mother. Someone needs to stand up and speak for Cliff since Lona MURDERED him and shut him up for life. I am sure Cliff had a little different spin as to what really happened that night. However it is hard to relay your side of a story once you have been shot SIX times. Were the two shots in the back really needed after she drilled him in the head earlier? He was probably running for his wallet when she put the two rounds in his back. It will be a travesty if she is not convicted and sent to prison for the rest of her life. Her children should want justice in the name of their daddy.

the disagreements on this topic explain why taking idiots off the street and making them jurors for a day is a dangerous practice.

This is a horrible and complicated case with lots of "he said-she saids" from both families and their friends. The moral grammar on these postings generates such different judgments in apparently a similar situation. It's also interesting how the Internet allows both sides to make their case and lie at will, which appears to have happened here. So here's an outsiders perspective:
This case brings up questions about human morality. Case in point is that most are wired with a right and wrong perspective that killing is wrong, unless the big "My life was in danger!!!" But is it justified? This does not appear to be that situation. Does a normal person shoot an unarmed, naked man in his elbows, forehead and back and call it self defense? He was obviously trying to shield his face from the bullets Lona Scott was firing at him...it's a natural human instinct.
This case is also an extreme example of "instant" moral judgment and probably why she will get at least "voluntary manslaughter". The way the story is told (from her side), during a confrontation, Lona grabs a loaded gun that she happens to have handy (with kids in the house?) and shoots Cliff not once but multiple times in a deadly manner (chest, head, etc.) Did she know what she was doing? Has she carried a gun in the past and did she know how to use it?
The big question is: Was it premeditated? Was the timing perfect and she just executed Cliff? Think about it. A woman knows she can get away with it in this situation much easier than a man and she may have known this and planned the execution, including provoking Cliff and filing all the complaints to establish abuse.
She never had any money nor did her family (from what one reads), so money can be a very strong influence. The money does make life easier, especially when you get rid of the person it is tied to. But, if it was a stressful moment and she snapped, what is the rationale when you pull the trigger the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth time, etc.? It's difficult to understand how a jury cannot convict her of murder or at the very least voluntary manslaughter.
Killing anyone is an extreme measure and is wrong, no matter what the circumstances. Shooting someone this many times, even if you snapped, is still wrong. There are other ways of getting out of a bad situation she was supposedly in that are more humane and normal (her actions speaks louder about her family too).
The justice system will figure this all out and there will be another trial but God will pass the ultimate judgment on you Lona and Cliff too. I didn't know Cliff but may God give Cliff's soul peace. And may their children find peace in all this and try to lead a normal life...although this all may be passed along to them is some sad way.

Say what it is she is... rich, white with friends of the same esteem. She is guilty guilty guilty of murder. She should not be out on bail. Mistrial or not ...she killed. This has been turnned into rather she is justified of murder. NOOOOOOOO She stayed in the marriage because noone wants an old broke white women with a child. Rather her family has money, which makes her more of an embarrsment. She made up her mind, she excepted him as a womanizer but she was mad about the money he didnot place in her account. Domestic Volience is serious and NO partner is justified in commiting the crime. She is a murderer, and should not be out on bail. Then ever person who murders should be given a bail low enough to bond out. Statistics show 59.1% of truly truly battered women are sitting in jail with no bail or high bail or on monitoring devices over a year waiting to finalze a prison or not. But, money and friends in high places break the laws allthe time..it's how the sleep at night.

you are an idiot. "an old broke white woman"? Really? But her family has money?? What are you...homeless and living under a bridge...with access to the internet and useless facts? Yes, all people with money are corrupt and living useless lives with no moral judgement. Just like all poor idiots are sneaking to internet sites every night to post comments about rich, white people. Idiot.

LONA LEE AMAN ZADAROSNI scott
Lovely, luscious Lona LEE
A coniving divorcee
Desperate to be a wife.
Her plan was quite malignant,
Quickly did she get pregnant.
A child that would cost my life.
Lovely Lona became my bride.
Working hard and long to provide.
While the queen and servants played.
My precious child soon was born
On Lona Lee's selected morn.
The completed snare done made.
With spendthrift Lona by my side
On Bimini we watched the tide.
Lona's thinking of killing me!
In my beloved pink cottage
To be enjoyed in our dotage
Down by the sea in Bimini.
Lusty, licentious Lona Lee
Down by the sea in Bimini.
Together we vowed before God.
Desperately I tried and tried
To keep you nearby my side.
I, a money witholding clod.
How fast did Lona tire of me!
She only wanted my money.
Along comes child number two.
Lona attracts the lears of men
For she is a true Barbie ten.
Who is the Dad, give me a clue?
How, I loved my two precious girls
as different as mismatched pearls.
Growing up in a family
Our marriage wasn't so perfect
Overlooking every defect
yet, held by my love securely.
On Atlanta's far northern side
Away from the world she did hide,
but so that the child could see.
Lovely Lona Lee the slayer,
a pistol shooting betrayer,
Lethal Lona murdered me.
Treacherous criminal Lona Lee
On the web for all the world to see.
For Lona Lee when will justice be?
Will it be a baggy, orange, jumpsuit
Or will she garner the mega loot?
Presently or in eternity?

Creepy how much time you've put into this....

This post was written on another thread by someone who knew Cliff. It's one of many expressing the sentiments of Cliff's classmates. It's been copied and posted here, as follows:
Jan 19, 2010 Judged:
"I went to school with Cliff for many years, and we had a lot of classes together. Cliff had a reputation in school as being both brilliant and a malicious prankster. My friends and I knew that, friend or not, you were a lot better off if you didn't trust him. For my part, I had no problems with directly, but by my observations, he was a real jerk. Sorry if that offends anyone, but I'm just saying the way it was. At our high school reunion in August, the revelation of what happened was almost universally greeted with shrugs and comments like "Well, I can't say I didn't see it coming." Maybe he changed over the years. Maybe he didn't. His wife may have been a sinner or she may have been a saint. The law won't determine anything other than her guilt. So I'll only say to her that I hope when you did what you did, you truly believed you had no other choice. If you did, and Cliff was indeed the same person I grew up with, then you have my sympathies. If not, then I hope justice prevails."

Yes, i'm Cliff's brother, John. He was a good man, in high school we were all jacked-up, we were kids! If you don't remember High School was rough for us all. I was kicked out for a good while as maybe you remember, If you can't even put your real name on here then you're better off not saying any thing.
