Its also California that's rude, not everyone is as friendly as the south. Those transplants coming from New York and California are ruining our great city. Wheres the Southern Hospitality when we've got people coming from the rudest cities in America.. Go back to where you all came from ;) Atlanta doesn't need rude and snobby people that are all full of themselves. "ATLANTA BEST CITY IN THE USA FOR A REASON"

In the event of nuclear attack in Atlanta, the southern folk evacuate on I75, I20, and I85, the yankees all get on I285.

I have been fortunate to travel many places. I believe that the opposite of this statement USE to be true.... Southerners were incredibly polite and giving.

That is no longer true in many areas including Atlanta. Perhaps, this has to do with move ins from other places, but I think not. Several years ago, while in NYC, I was helped numerous times (even when I didn't need it) with their mass transport, directions, etc etc. It was clear each time that these were people on their way to work and had places to be. My thought then and I've heard it from numerous people who have been to New York in the last few years is that we have lost something very precious here in the south.

I guess some just don't get the fact that I285 circles Atlanta, and the rude yankess will get blown up, while the southern folk can get oit of town on the other "actual" interstates. The thugs can look for the imaginary interstates mentioned by another poster.

Atlanta was recently voted one of the rudest cities in America. It is because of the influx of yankees and the abundance of deadbeats demanding that everyone take care of them. These deadbeats used to be thankful for any help, but have now become rude with demands for "free government welfare". A city also mirrors its leadership, and Mayor Mohammad is not friendly toward Atlanta tax payers, only toward his supporters.

The attitude of the genre, is a reflection of the leadership.
