A good man. I'd donate, except the Republicans inviso/traffic taxed me as he wasn't here to prevent that from happening.

I sincerely doubt my mandatory traffic donation is going to a cause this man would consider worthy. And I find he is not an elected official, just the guy to get the job done. Honestly, if, in your face. That's all I ever ask, yet Tom is one of the few to achieve the honor.

Navy AND an educator. Ruthlessly honest.

Please, you could not leave it as a few good words for Murphy, you had to sling some political crap out as well. And sir, please do tell what "inviso/traffic tax" would he have been able to stop.

I leave nothing but good words for Tom and Mr. Murphy would be severely disappointed if there were no politics in his leaving us. aka... why, nobody is taking out the trash! OMG.

If you don't understand that, you,re too young to talk. I WILL leave the words he would be thankful for in his absence. Thomas Murphy was political, but there was no crap laying about. Until now. Clean it up or take a number.

I don't doubt that your an "educator", what a bunch of esoteric jibberish!

For me Tom Murphy represented the entrenched "good ole' boy" club. He and his cronies conducted business and scratched the backs of friends behind closed doors and with little regard for the citizens of Georgia.

Regardless, there's no denying that he was a unique individual and left one heck of a footprint on this state. He certainly deserves his spot in Georgia's history.

Maybe they use those white robes to keep scum like you away..........You must be so proud to bad mouth someone who is loved by many and did a lot for the state of GA. Whether you liked him or not, there is no reason for comments like you left. Now move on.....

He may have done a lot for the state but nothing for Haralson Co. He turned away so much industry because he wanted to retire to a "quite town". Only after he left office did any meaningful industry hit that part of the state.

Go to the Atlanta thread about the Speaker. There is a poster there that expounds on exactly what you are saying.
