Bout time. If they are afraid of drug dealers infiltrating the area, they need to ban sports cars and SUVs. The people on the transit system are only trying to get to work as conveniently as possible.

yeah its english and it is bout time!
trains are needed in Gwinnett & the current bus system is garbage. Norcross is not the only city Gwinnett! Snellville is constantly left out of the loop. What they need to do is extend the line from the Doraville station through north gwinnett. They also need to extend the line from Indian Creek into Snellville and Southern Gwinnett. Especially with this local bus thing becuase Gwinnett Transit aint cuttin it! MARTA MUST BE IN ALL OF GWINNETT

Gotta keep the places like Snellville clean from outsiders. No public transportation, TO ME, is an attempt to preserve a way of life in some places. But, I use Marta because, I live in Lawrenceville but, attend school in Atlanta ooo and its convient.

who are the outsiders?
what way of life are you trying to preserve?

sounds kinda ignorant 2 me

lets think logically MARTA is the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority it seems real stupid when it only serves two counties

Gwinnett Transit is following suit by only serving the Northern part of Gwinnett

My opinion does not sound ignorant to me and if you lived here maybe you would know what type of life is trying to be preserved. If it was such a logical thing it would have happened sooner.

Trying to perserve a certain way of life? Are the criminals that you usually hear about or see on the news, MARTA riders?(and i mention crminials because I believe that's what type of lifestyle you are talking about right?)In most cases no! They have cars and live in the suburbs.

LOL...criminals ARE everywhere! Did I say they were trying to keep CRIMINALS out of places, like SNELLVILLE?! No. I did not. People in places like Snellville enjoy the "country" life and adding public transportation helps bring more people to a some what secluded area. There a lot of people that have moved into places like SNELLVILLE for that hassel free, country lifestyle. They don't want an urban area.

if they want that type of lifestyle they should live somewhere farther away from Atlanta like Oconee or Walton County.

This whole "country living " thing is a buncha crap

People in West Snellville are begging for public transit while people in East Snellville are afraid minorities will be able to live in their naighborhoods

I live in East Lilburn(78) and I know I am not begging for public transit.. I know many in Snellville on the West side not interested in it at all. and if you looked at Snellville, minorities are no longer the minority.

thats my point those blacks asians and latinos and the white people who have open minds are the ones who want public transit while the the only people who dont want public transit live mainly in Parview or Brookwood area.

Those in Shiloh, South Gwinnett, Berkmar, Meadowcreek, Central Gwinnett area ARE begging for it

I have never heard of someone breaking in your house, stealing your TV, carrying the TV on Marta, and using it as a getaway. Criminals steal cars to do their crimes.

Marta has long been the transportation mode for burglars and home invaders. The crime line follows the Marta lines everywhere Marta goes. The park-n-ride on Hwy 400 is not near residential areas. Criminals get off there and there's no place to rob. That concept will repeat itself in Gwinnette and other areas that want Marta but not the thugs it brings.

They ride Marta to the suburbs then look for car keys to the vehicle in the garage of the house they broke into. Thugs are a little smarter than you seem to be.
Next time you see someone with a suitcase or a laptop computer on Marta, ask them where they got it.

I personally do not want the gang members and riff-raff moving into the area. The easier the access to a place is the faster they will come. Marta will make it a revolving door way. I have steadily watched the decline of the counties neighboring Gwinnett. I constantly read about this robery or that murder or those assaults and I don't want to have to fear being the victim of one of those incidences when I go to the Mall of Ga or to eat at any restaurant on Ga 20. If Marta came to Gwinnett the first place the thugs, gangs, and riff-raff are going to congregate is at the Mall of Ga because it is such a nice place. Personally I'd like to see it stay that way, not take the turn that Gwinnett Place Mall did.
I'm all for going green and for helping the environment, but there has to be a better way for Gwinnett County to do then letting Marta in.

with you 100%on this one Beth, there would be a deterioration in the quality of human in Gwinnett.

It would move the inteligence downwards the crime rate up and would be awful.
