"But because each situation is different, it's not as easy as "cracking down" on bridge dwellers, says city spokesman Reese McCranie"
No, each situation is not diffeent. Living under a bridge, while pathetic, is trespassing. Why someone is trespassing doesn't become an issue at all. They dont belong under the bridges, so they have to go and that often means cracking down. Why? Because the trespassers don't leave when asked!

Most of them have schizophrenia or other mental illnesses and when they stop taking their medications they get all cray cray. This is a prime example of why mental institutions should not have all been shut down in the 1980's. Some people need to be tended for their entire life...otherwise we get these people living in shantytowns under overpasses.

Give these deadbeats a one way bus ticket to Chicago they have community organizers who will sign them up for obamacare and free Ripple. They should get a job if they want to stay in Georgia. I know a mentally challenged young lady who works a 40 hour week. I also know blind, crippled, etc. people who are employed, should I continue with the handicapped people I know who work?

Homeless people are those down on their luck and looking for a way back into the mainstream. What's living under the bridges shack towns are bums, hoboes, and the scum of society who want nothing more than the the next fix or swig of booze. I've worked with groups trying to help but find out you're only supporting their lifestyle when you try. You take food and blankets and they ask for cash to buy" what they like, not the crap you people bring" They all have a long sad tale of something in their life that is to blame for their problems. We even tried to get in contact with family members back home but they don't want you to try to get them back on their feet and back home because their family "doesn't understand them". If the cities and residents would quit considering these cockroaches as "homeless",outlaw panhandling downtown, clean out the trash from under the bridges, stop the bleeding hearts from feeding them, they would move out to some other city. These varmits are like an old stray cat, you feed it and it's going to hang around for more.
