We are so pleased with our 2yr old preschool. It is a wonderful learning experience for her. The school is very welcoming and well prepared! I would recommend this school to all families!

This comment is false! I have had my child at this school for 3 years and love it! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

We love this school! The program has taught my daughter so much and the teachers are very loving. My daughter loves to go to school each morning.

To start off, I am sure the preschool would be a great fit for many families, but for my family it was not. I chose this preschool because of the youth/ energy of the staff, the layout of the room, and I really liked Kylee's personality (at first before she began to give parenting advice though she is not one). Though the facility adorable and the staff pleasant I had a disappointing experience there.

It was my barely 3 year olds first preschool experience and after the first 2 days was told she was not transitioning well and had trouble sharing (no kidding this is all new to her). I was then told she was having fits (crying is a fit I guess) and 3 year old kids shouldn't have fits (what 3 year old doesn't have cry when upset). I was then given parenting advice on how to be consistent at home (from a non-parent), while at the same time being told that she doesn't have the time to give her the one on one attention at school so she just picks her up when she has a fit (not consistent and child has now won). Though I informed her that my kiddo has a language delay and doesn't have a large vocabulary to verbally express herself, I was told that she is too old to use sign language and she should use her words when she is upset or needs something (does not understand language delay). I was also told I should not let her have her favorite toy at home when she has a rough day and to reward her with ice cream that night when a good day occurs (how is a 3 year old going to relate rewards or punishment 5 hours later to behavior from the morning, and does having crying require punishments, she wasn't being naughty). After a couple bad days, and couple weeks of good I was done when I was asked to pick up my daughter early because she was having a bad day. My kiddo was so distraught it took me a half hour to calm her down. I am not sure if the staff was just frustrated with her that day, but she was left crying on the concrete outside while all the other kids were sitting and watching. Great job guys!

These are not behaviors I normally see at home so it is upsetting as a parent see her like that. I am not sure if it was the fact that she was getting shorter naps than normal, the dynamics of the staff and the staff to student ratio, or a combo of all 3. Some of the staff did not seem to have the "motherly" way woth the kids as they were pretty young and did not seem familiar with toddler aged kids (how to respond, talk to upset kids). I tried to take a step back to decide if I am being overprotective/ over reactive mom, and I am sure that it was frustrating to have a kiddo that would get upset throughout the day , but as objectively as I can be I was not happy with some of the comments and the way my daughter was not given the support she needed to transition into a new school.

Follow up. I waited 5 months to post this to make sure it was not me overreacting and I wanted to say she is now VERY successful at another pre-school. She has not had one bad day (except when I have to pick her up she does not want to leave). I do say I think it was the lack of effort on the staff and Kylee's side to make this work. If you have a sensitive child who may need some individualized attention, or help transitioning into the world of preschooling this IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!

I have fist hand experience at Love to Learn.
I have spoken with more than one parent who's young child was in attendance when Ms. Jacobson recommended they attend a different center.
The appearance of this center is cute and clean and Kylee presents herself well. That is about as far as the good points go.
If your child is crying and unhappy at drop off on a regular basis, you need to listen to them! They may only be two or three but they are trying to tell you something!
A failure to adjust to a program after a period of time should never be blamed on a child.
I can not stand to see a toddler on a 6' tall slide unsupervised, in an unfenced yard accessible to the public!
How can a two year old receive the attention they deserve in a room with 15 or more other kids?!
Love to Learn may be suitable or a 4 year old who is adjusted to large commercial care. The lack of supervision, transitions, qualified teachers, age appropriate playgrounds, and care are simply unsuited for toddlers.
Appearances are not everything and I advise all parents to truly reconsider attending this program.
